Hot spring Hotels in Marrakech

Excellent hotel. Beautiful lush green oasis with so many trees, plants and birds. Love the 60s architecture and interior design and elegant pastel pink and green colours carried across the whole hotel. Pool really nice and very relaxing with great service. Ate in the gastronomique restaurant food was good and service excellent. Staff very warm and friendly.

Anyone who rates this hotel as 5* must be deluded or has never stayed in an equivalent 5* “all inclusive” hotel in Turkey, Spain or Egypt etc…. This is a 3* hotel. There are positives, the staff are friendly and helpful and the grounds are well kept and pretty, the gym is good but everything else is distinctly average. Firstly do not even think of coming here as a group of adults. This is very much a family hotel with children dominating proceedings and a nightly kids show that goes on until 9pm and most stay for the “adult” show that lasts an hour from 9.30-10.30pm and the bar shuts at around 11pm. If you’ve got kids it’s probably ok, as adults just avoid. It’s Butlins with sun. The buffet food is ok, but repetitive and not brilliant. The snack bar is average and the free drinks are local spirits only and ok, but nothing special. There is a separate “adult” bar but drinks are full price so as an all inclusive it’s disappointing compared to what we’ve experienced elsewhere. The rooms are average and a bit tired. We paid extra to stay in block 4 which has its own pool but our view was scrubland and a road. The main pool areas are ok but while they claim beds can’t be reserved, people do and there is no attempt to address the problem. So in short, nothing is terrible but nothing is especially good. I certainly wouldn’t return and am surprised at the five star reviews but each to their own I suppose.

We have been fortunate to travel the world and stay in many of the most renowned hotels globally, including two decades in Asia, but the Mandarin Oriental Marrakech stands out for being an exceptional resort hotel in a magical city. The gardens, public areas and pool are beautiful, the villas amazing, and the food throughout is fantastic (Ling Ling, breakfast and room service all excellent). However, the genuine hospitality of Marcel Thoma and his excellent team made our stay truly memorable - nothing was too much trouble, and we felt special from the moment we arrived to the last farewell. We visited and ate at several of the other well known hotels in Marrakech - so glad we booked the Mandarin as it is definetely the best by far in my opinion. We had a truly wonderful stay. Thank you so much to the incredible MO Marrakech team - we can't wait to return!
