"Party central. Good location right in the centre of town. Beautiful old beamed inn. Good breakfast. We stayed Friday and Saturday and our room overlooked the high street. Customers sitting at tables on the street below our windows, which we couldn’t open because of the cigarette smoke drifting upwards. Friday night is live band night. Very good band, loud, finished dead on 11pm. Saturday, customers outside chatting and drinking until 2am Sunday morning."

"Room very basic & tatty, heaters not working until room maintenance called am sorted it. Shaver point in our room and one other not working. When we complained they LIED and said a shaver point would not charge a toothbrush!! Once you catch them out lying can you trust anything they say? Couldn't provide an adapter to use in another power point. Don't stay here if you use an electric toothbrush or razor!"

"Booked this place based on some of the reviews. Positives - conveniently located to town centre, onsite parking, decent pub prices for drinks Negatives - stayed on the ground level room No.1, the window was straight onto the road outside, had to keep curtains closed to hide belongings. Smell of damp from the bathroom. TV remote was stolen but no replacement available. Went for breakfast, no menu available, the guy said that their refrigerators had broken down and had to throw a lot of food which did not leave many options. We went for scrambled egg on toast, very basic and cheap bread. Wont return here, it needs a good refurb and we’ve stayed in much nicer places for the same price!"
