Pagua Bay House Oceanfront Cabanas

My husband and I spent nearly 2 months at Pagua Bay house while my husband groooved the runway at the airport. Because of his job we have been able to experience hundreds of hotel stays all over the US and several other countries. Rick and Alicia are by far the best hosts we have ever had the pleasure of meeting! Rick even helped my husband with some issues he had come up on his job. They will be happy to organize anything you may want to experience. Whether it be visiting one of the beautiful waterfalls, island tours, whale watching, restaurants, or car rentals, no worries. We stayed longer than the average guest, so we got to meet all their employees. They were all great and we enjoyed talking to them and learning about their lives. Every need we had was taken care of. When Rick and Alicia weren’t there, their trusted manager, Sheldon, watched out for all of our needs. Every employee was a pleasure. If you go to this island you can’t go wrong staying at Pagua Bay House. There’s a beautiful view of the ocean from the cabanas and the restaurant. Our cabana was perfect. The shower was huge and great! Because we were there so long they even provided us with some extra amenities, even laundry service. We would put it outside our door and it would magically appear, clean and folded. If you don’t stay there on your visit make sure you stop in at the restaurant. One of the best on the entire Island. The house made bread, bagels, and buns are excellent. Juices made from local produce…yum! I could go on and on! Someday we would like to return to the island. We made lovely friends that we’ll never forget! (I will miss Gigi and Kiki, the cats, too)

Went there for my birthday this year forget the young ladies name but she was a darling and she was the only server there that night. Food was excellent and quantity was great for price. I had to redo my birthday there wished I stayed there instead but there’s more birthdays to come. Didn’t really like how the tip works but it’s not up to us guest to make that decision but her customer service was 10/10 she checked on us ensure everything was okay not to often you get the same service in return especially working in the same industry. Love love love the cats so friendly and well behaved

I had an okay time there. Sheldon was very helpful as well as all the staff. Very kind… The food was just okay. Limited choices. In my opinion the bread, pancakes etc had very little flavor. We were also located 1,5 hours each way from many of the places we went which made for long days.

We were greeted by the owner, Alisha, who couldn’t have been nicer. She and a staff member carried our bags to a beautiful suite that included a huge bedroom with the biggest bathroom I’ve ever seen. It had an elevated soaking tub with an ocean view plus we had our own large outdoor sitting area. The pool was clean and cool with an incredible coastline view. After a long rain shower in our room we went to dinner in their restaurant. We were greeted by Sheldon, the manager and had a great conversation. The meal and service were excellent. After a good sleep we were up early to catch our flight and they were right there to get our bags and shuttle us to the airport. The only negative was that the air conditioner didn’t work very well. But the place is beautiful and the people were great. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

This is one of the best places to stay or dine when in Dominica. Rick and Alicia are amazing hosts that make everyone feel welcome. The cabins are chic and the view of the ocean is absolutely gorgeous! The food and drinks are all top notch. The cucumber gimlet is my favorite. I highly recommend Pagua Bay!

Pagua Bay House is beautiful, the owners and staff are warm, caring and helpful. My husband and I had a wonderful time. Dominica is truly the garden island - the scenery is breathtaking. We highly recommend Pagua Bay House for a fantastic trip!

I would highly recommend staying at Pagua Bay House. Before we arrived, Sheldon was most helpful with my questions and arranged transportation from the airport to Pagua. On our arrival, Alicia greeted us and made us feel very welcome. She was eager to help us plan activities and offered recommendations of things to see and do while in Dominica. Sheldon was most helpful when Alicia was not available. We really enjoyed meeting Rick also. Everyone treats you as family/friends as soon as you get there. The cabanas are lovely and the setting is beautiful. We really enjoyed the food at the restaurant and ate most of our dinners there. The breakfast was wonderful as well with lots of choices. You will not be disappointed if you book here!

Sleeping under the fans with the crickets, tree frogs, and breaking ocean waves and night-time rain storms was just the formula for relaxation. Everyone at Pagua Bay catered to our needs and wants. They set up a series of escorted trips for us that were really great, and the drivers' expertise, skills, and insider advantages they gained for us made the days very special. The trade winds made it very comfortable for half of us, although half would have liked stronger sun and a little warmer conditions. Really delightful.

The accommodations and the staff are very friendly. The view and atmosphere is great. The rooms are safe, pretty, clean and comfortable! Alicia went above and beyond to ensure our stay was the best possible experience it could be. I highly recommend PaguaBayHouse! Oh, the food was delicious and they have the best golden apple juice!
