Especial mas custo muito desajustado
O que nos levou a agendar esta estadia foi a incrível reabilitação que fizeram das ruínas ao lado do Castelo de Marialva e a junção a uma arquitectura contemporânea que não poderia estar mais bem conseguida. Casas muito originais no interior , espaço social do hotel ao nível de 5 estrelas, com uma decoração que impressiona.
Contudo, para este valor de estadia era obrigatório o acesso à piscina e ao SPA estar incluído. Nem mesmo em hotéis de 5 estrelas observamos esta prática que contribuiu para voltar a repetir a experiência. O interior da casa ainda assim poderia estar mais bem decorado e com mais qualidade nos materiais.
Os preços estão completamente desajustados. É no entanto um alojamento único

Paz e tranquilidade
Não tenho nada a apontar, é difícil descrever a paz, tranquilidade, e bem estar que se sente nestas casas, toda a envolvência magica. O cuidado e pormenores da decoração… O pequeno almoço ótimo, a disponibilidade dos funcionários irrepreensível, é para voltar… Adoramos, foi em aniversário de casamento, e foi perfeito!

Voltamos ao fim de quase 9 anos , e valeu a pena continua a ser um sítio perfeito para desfrutar, descansar e descobrir o entorno que é lindo . O serviço está ainda melhor , com mais opções, corretos em todo o atendimento, e com um spa óptimo além de tudo que já ofereciam, sem perder a autenticidade. Os jantares são especiais pelo ambiente e pela comida caseira de qualidade. As casas do coro são de bom gosto , bem cuidadas com atenção ao pormenor , arquitetura e natureza .

My husband and I spent a wonderful 3 days at this uniquely beautiful resort. The service was unparalleled - we felt like visiting royalty. We sampled just about every service the resort had to offer, firstly a wine tasting provided by Paulo, the owner. The facility grows its own grapes and produce several different wines for local consumption, all of which were very good. There was a dinner included in our package, created by Paulo's wife Carmen, also delicious. We were provided a jeep tour of the local countryside and the owners' vineyards by Pedro, son of the owners! It really is a family business operated with lots of passion for their craft and the desire to provide exquisite & memorable experiences for their guests. We made good use of both the outdoor pool and the spa, including relaxing massages. We also had their 5 course tasting menu, which was very good. We had a cooking lesson provided, of course, by Carmen and had lunch on the fruits of that labour on our last full day. The most interesting, unique and memorable aspect of this resort is the surroundings. The resort has been built in the hills of northern Portugal on the site of a former medieval village, some of which remains intact below the resort. There is a 12th century castle and citadel which abuts the resort and is definitely worth touring (and especially seeing at night when it is beautifully lit). It is truly otherworldly to stroll through the village, inhabited by residents whose families have been there for many generations! Thank you again to Carmen, Paulo, Pedro, Sofia, Sandy, Christina and our massage therapist whose name escapes me, as well as all the other staff who helped makes our stay so amazing. It was one of our most memorable experiences ever and we hope to come back some day!

A localização é óptima e os espaços exteriores muito bonitos. No entanto, os quartos estão desactualizados e com tapetes sujos e gastos. As casas de banho são low cost, e, por exemplo, o vidro da janela da nossa suite (suite senhora da guia) estava rachado de uma ponta a outra. Podem parecer pormenores, mas não se coadunam minimamente com o preço do quarto. Acresce que a piscina interior só está aquecida no inverno, independentemente de estar bom ou mau tempo no restante período do ano. Ficámos hospedados duas noites e nesses dias a massagista esteve sempre de folga e, para além disso, não foi possível fazer nenhuma das actividades que divulgam no site. Quando reclamámos por não poder usar as comodidades divulgadas no site a funcionária respondeu-nos “os senhores pagam pelo quarto não pagam pelo SPA”. Tudo isto foi comunicado aos proprietários que não se mostraram minimamente interessados em tentar arranjar soluções ou sequer em lamentar o sucedido. Pelo contrário, reagiram com uma postura totalmente prepotente. É de lamentar que um espaço com tanto potencial se revele uma desilusão, sobretudo face aos valores que praticam. Não recomendamos. Se procurarem um sítio para ficar no parque da Serra da Estrela, optem pelo Terra Sense, Casa de São Lourenço ou Casa das Penhas Douradas. Dão 10 a 0 as Casas do Coro.

What an unexpected treat. Casas do Coro is a gem built with love by the most wonderful proprietors, Paulo and Carmen. They worked with our travel agent to arrange a magical 4 days for us in the Douro Valley. From boat rides to train trips, vineyard visits and tasting to local Portuguese restaurants, we were treated like family and immersed ourselves into an elegantly simple way of life. The rooms were exquisite, reflecting Carmen’s wonderful taste and style. We ate breakfast and dinner on campus every day while there. The food is next level, a true homemade experience. Casas do Coro is not for everyone. This is not a one night stay for those passing thru. This is a destination experience where you will get a flavor for a life well lived at an enviable and graceful pace. Thank you Paulo and Carmen. We will never forget our amazing time with you.

Great! All! Beautiful hotel. Delicious cuisine. Hyper friendly service. Very curious hotel, since they have recovered a series of houses in the town of Marialva next to the castle. A project that they have embroidered, it is Dino to be in a for God. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail, both in the houses, the restaurant, gardens, spa... We were a group of friends and we were all happy. Our houses (Casa Pipa and San Pedro) are ideally decorated. The beautiful dining room, tables exquisitely prepared with all the little details. Abundant breakfast with everything you could want. Beautiful pool. The Spa was very clean and very pleasant. Highly recommended. You can see the care and love they give to everything and the care they give to the guests.

Magnificent rural hotel in a village in the interior of Portugal. The houses have all the comforts, including wood stoves, as well as good heating.
