Getting to this property is a long bumpy and sometimes dusty ride into the vast Masai Mara region, but it is worth the effort. After you are greeted with a cool wet towel, you enter the large main lodge with lots of lounge-y seating areas as well as the main dining room. They all over look a large green area with a swimming pool, all set against the Maru River. A real treat is to see herds of hippos lying in the river. If you try, you can see them get up and leave to feed when the sun goes down. The service at the Camp is superb. They offer to bring hot chocolate, coffee or tea and something sweet to you with a wake up call. They will prepare you a lunch box if your plans have you off premises - and they work with your guide to make sure it is on your vehicle before you are. All the food is world class in quality and presentation. We particularly liked our bartender Kikiu, our waitress (for all meals) Daisy, Sharon who works at the front desk. Laundry service and alcoholic beverages are included. The tent itself is fully amenitized - double sinks, a shower that feels like you’re outdoors, robes and slippers. The turndown service includes hot water bottles to toast up the bed for you. It is clean, comfortable and cozy. And of course, comes with its own view of the river and hippos. Neptune Mara Rianta is a first class property with top notch dining and staff. It was a true pleasure to stay there for a few nights - we honestly did not want to leave. I would highly recommend the property and would stay nowhere else if I were in the area.

The location is amazing, in the front is river Mara and a lot of hippos and other animals, it’s Masai Mara! It is luxury, the taint, the service, the staff were very professional, the food was good, it can be improved with more choices! We had a butler who wasn’t very professional and of any help at all. Robert, the waiter was very helpful completed all of our wishes! Also the chef was very nice, he cooked what we wished for dinner! The pool is also beautiful, we relaxed there! If you go to Masai Mara you should choose Neptune Mara!

We can't say enough about how wonderful this resort is. We were treated like royalty by every single staff member from arrival until departure. It felt like we were visiting family, not staying at a Safari resort. Daniel is an absolutely fabulous guide. He treated our children like his own and catered to their interests on 3 top notch Safari drives and one walking Safari. The food service was fast and very accommodating for our dietary needs and allergies. We did a bush lunch organized by John and Peter which was the ultimate experience for all of us. We were served a five star lunch with a full menu of drinks in the middle of the reserve with dozens of animals in clear view along the Mara River full of hippos. The tent we stayed in was also surprisingly comfortable and luxurious. Hot water is available 24 hours unlike many other camps. There is full butler service with s service button in the room that gets you a service attendant who will cater to your every need. Free laundry is extremely convenient after spending a few days away from the city in the heat. Our children were very sad to leave and are already begging to come back. A huge thank you to Peter, Daniel, Wesley, Elaphas and John for making our stay memorable!

The staff, management and all the safari drivers were incredibly kind and gracious. The experience we had at Neptune Rianta was beyond what we could have imagined. The tents were so spacious and comfortable. We slept so well even though we were in the middle of the jungle! The sunrises were beautiful. One of our family members is a wheelchair user and the staff put ramps into the main area and into our tent. There were always people around to help us whenever we needed it. They even have an accessible bridge going over the Mara river which was fun to cross. The safari drives were incredible. Daniel and Emmanuel took us to beautiful spots to view the animals and we got to see most of them. It was very special to hear stories about the indigenous land and its animals especially from the drivers who are part of the Maasai peoples. They were so kind and friendly. We visited a Maasai village, a very memorable experience which I highly recommend. The food at Neptune was incredible as was the service. Truly, they thought of all the special touches when designing Neptune Rianta. We will never forget the memories we made there and the people we met.

The camp is per se beautiful. But there are some negative traits that makes it less nice than similar luxury camps. Tye food is ok but not great. During our stay the camp was full of people that was acting like they were at own home. Probably the family of the owners. But when you own a luxury hotel you have to make your guest feel treated in a luxury style. Another bad point was the picnic lunch they prepared for our safari. It was really bad not only in the taste and quality but also in the presentation. A very old rag bag with food packed in very used plastic boxes. Zero presentation. No dishes no glass nothing. Just eat from the plastic box. Not to be picky but we were eating next to another couple that was having the same treatment from their luxury camp and they had a proper picnic straw basket with porcelains and cutlery and well presented food.

It was a dream of mine to visit the Mara and stay in a camp. This camp was beyond everything I could’ve imagined and hoped for. There’s so many wonderful amenities that the camp offers that are overlooked in reviews. First off the food!!! Oh my goodness!! My compliments to the chef! There was not one day that I didn’t enjoy my meal. All the animals are grass fed so it’s evident in the taste of the food. Every breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious. Usually when hotels/camps include the food they’re sometimes not that great and bland. BUT this camp out does itself. Even for the game drives, they packed our lunches and they were so tasty! Secondly, the hospitality. We felt so welcomed from the moment we got there. Everyone is assigned a butler and a waiter that stay with you throughout your stay. I think that’s genius because you built a relationship with the staff. Daniel, who was our game drive guide, created memories for us that will stay with us forever. We even cried when we had to say goodbye that’s how much we bonded in our few nights there. Thirdly, the property is gorgeous. The rooms are soooo spacious and it’s what made me book the camp in the first place. We had a spacious front porch that overlooked the Mara River with hippos. We got that for free when others pay money to have lunch by the hippos. There’s also baboons roaming around the property which made it fun. There’s not one day that I woke up and couldn’t believe it was real. They offer massages and honestly it was best hot stone massage I have received for 75 minutes. Long story short, book this camp for your dream Safari!! It will not disappoint and it will leave you on could 9!!

Incredible, amazing, beautiful, magical. There are so many words to describe this incredible place. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by super friendly and attentive staff, with cold and hot towels as we checked in, fresh leakage juice and assigned our room. We had chosen a luxury tent. The area is stunning, boasting beautiful wooden features, a stunning pool, and seating areas looking over the Mara river, where hippos are a permanent resident! The luxury tent itself is incredible. A large double bed, en-suite bathroom and toilet, and seating area. It feels like a hotel room more than a tent. Plenty of bottled waters are provided in the room everyday, you will never go short. The bed is comfy and warm, and there is plenty of storage for all your items. You have a personal butler who attends your tour tent. Every morning cleaning and at night turning down the room with hot water bottles and chocolates left on the pillow. If you wish for a wake up call they will wake you with fresh Kenyan coffee and pastries. A special thanks to our butler ‘Elphas’ who was fantastic. There is no iron in the room, but they will iron clothes for you free of charge. There is also 3 items of laundry provided free of charge every day of your visit. So it’s super easy, you just leave out the clothes you want and it is returned fresh, clean and ironed. At night you will hear every animal, including lions, hippos, monkeys. It can get quite loud, which is amazing! But we would advise some ear plugs if you want to block out the noise! The tent is super secure and safe. Not one insect entered our tent during our stay, that’s how zip right the tents are. The food is 10/10. There is so much food provided that you will never leave the camp other than full! Everything is a la carte, with the menu for lunch and dinner changing every day. There is a wide variety of choices. All menus included a starter, soup dish, main and desert. With options for a European dish, rice dish and and a local dish most days. Still and sparkling water provided and of course a choice of drinks from the menu. Our waitress was ‘Daisy’, and we can’t thank her enough. Her professionalism and kindness was second to none, and she always spent time with us discussing our safari and teaching us Swahili. She really went the extra mile during our stay. Breakfast was also a la carte, with everything you can think of. We could not fault any dish, all the food tasted incredible and you never leave hungry. If you wish for a packed lunch to made, the resort will pack you one for your safari. Even this was incredible, with a large 4 course meal packed from a packed lunch menu offering 3 different choices. Outside area as mentioned is beautiful. During our stay we saw hippos, giraffes, monkeys and elephants pass by the river. Cheetahs and lions were also spotted roaming the area outside during our stay. To travel to the Mara triangle it can be quite a long drive, on some difficult roads. So just be pr

Absolutely wonderful. Our tent had a balcony overlooking the river where hippos hung out...I could have stayed there for an entired week instead of three nights - or longer. Food was OK, but it is remote so I wouldn't expect it to be superb. The waiter, Peter, was gracious and professional. The attendant who visited our tent and walked us back and forth, Daniel, stood out as one who really knows how to take care of customers in a sincere and friendly way. He helped us figure out an issue in which our guide (from Nairobi, not associated with Neptune) had taken our cash--he was a thief, but we still had a wonderful experience at Neptune. There is a bartender there (his name began with a "K" I think) made some lovely drinks for my husband when he felt ill - and he showed me a video of a bush baby that had come into the hotel - so amazing! I heard bush babies - but they hide well and are nocturnal, but he caught one on video one night! Overall a great experience. I highly recommend this tent camp! I heard lions, hippos, bush babies and moneys every night -- those sounds will never leave my brain.
