I’m a K-State alum, and stayed at the Aggieville MOD apartment booked/managed through Anderson B&B to enjoy a game weekend with my husband and parents. We were excited about the location and recent remodeling of the apartment, but were met with one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had through our interactions with Dawn. We ran into a number of issues during our stay- the refrigerator didn’t work at all for the weekend (we had to move everything into coolers and had food go bad), the dishwasher smelled like it was burning when turned on (thankfully we were still awake and turned it off to avoid a fire hazard), no one left—and management didn’t know—the wifi password (so the property owner had to get involved and reset the system), and it had a pretty limited kitchen that did not have a microwave, oven mitts, a cork screw, or more than a handful of plates/bowls. Management did not respond for hours after we reported the issues with the refrigerator and wifi, and then a stranger, who did not identify himself or his purpose for being there, showed up and came into the apartment. This stranger worked for the company, but management made no effort to inform us that he was coming, and he didn’t, either. As you can imagine, it was unnerving to have a stranger walk into the apartment without knowing whether he was in fact sent by management. The owner of the property got involved and quickly resolved the wifi, with no further follow up from managers with Anderson B&B. Upon requesting a reduced rate prior to checkout due to all of the issues throughout the weekend, I was met with extremely rude and demanding texts to call her immediately. I was told that she could not wait for us to finish what we were doing and wanted a call this very moment, because she wanted to carry on with her family weekend plans. When I stopped my activities to call her, she proceeded to yell at me, threaten law suits, indicate that she had my address to make good on threats, and refused to stop talking and yelling at me because my credit card was declined. The reason: my original booking credit card was replaced due to a fraud alert, and therefore was declined. If she had stopped yelling at me for long enough, I would have been happy to give her my updated card information. I had simply asked what the final charges were. Despite the amazing location, I will never book with this place or with Anderson B&B again. I’m sure this is a great spot if everything goes smoothly, but don’t expect anyone in management to lift a finger or pause what they’re doing if anything goes wrong or you need anything additional during your stay.
