Hilton Mainz

We expected something different from the name Hilton. Our hotel room was on a six-lane road that you could clearly hear. My request for a room on an upper floor was not met. The underground car park cost 34 euros for one night and there was no discount. Overall, the hotel is in need of renovation (stained, dirty carpets...) I find all of this very disappointing for a hotel with the name Hilton.

Booked a river view room. Because we arrived at the hotel at around 9 o'clock in the morning, we had to pay 40 euros for early check-in (check in early), and an additional 100 euros deposit was required by credit card. In addition to paying the city tax when checking out, the front desk staff said that the rest of the deposit would be returned to the card (not yet received). There are many guests staying in the hotel, and some foreign airline flight attendants are staying. The room is not big, but all kinds of facilities are quite complete, including capsule coffee machines and electric kettles. The TV is smaller (no time to watch it). The room has a window of about 2 square meters, and you can see the Rhine River and the scenery on the opposite bank. The room is soundproof and relatively quiet. The shower water is sufficient and the bath is comfortable. The hotel's buffet breakfast is a continental buffet, which is quite rich, with smoked salmon, various sausages, cheese, vegetables, fruits, bread, and especially yogurt. The hotel is not far from Mainz Cathedral, about 15 minutes walk, and it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the train station. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, and you can take a bus to the train station. Overall, the hotel stay experience is pretty good.

Very nice hotel with a perfect location near the Rhine and the city center and fair prices even during the trade fair period and with the best price-performance ratio!
