Avoid, avoid, avoid at all costs. This hotel is advertised as a 5 star, I would give 2 stars if it is lucky! Also stated it is 30 minutes from the airport, well it is at least 4 hours. Have stayed around the world in several 4/5 star all inclusive hotels and some are not so good as others, accepted. But this place… We are on holidays, we work hard all the year round and enjoy good wine and food. Drinks are served in plastic glasses, they are warm and not nice. So if you get the last glass of wine in the bottle around 22:00, they say “it’s gone “ and won’t open any more!! We did pay for all inclusive, but it is just not delivered. In the bathroom, there are holders for toothbrush cups etc, but no cups!! Food is average, well below average. The a la carte restaurant (there is only one, but advertised at three) is open three nights a week and the lovely restaurant manager Mr Mourani or something made sure we were booked in every time. Also this hotel is advertised as “ in the heart of the new tourist area”. Well, outside and for the walkable distance, is just wasteland and roaming dogs and a few restaurants. Please note, if you like to walk and stop at a bar for a beer, they do not serve any alcohol whatsoever outside the hotel. Our air conditioning stopped working first day and we reported it at reception and he told us “all stops in October “. Blatant lie as our room cleaner fixed it. Also it was remarked by a group of young Tunisian men in one of the cafes, that I was not wearing a hijab. Top tip, bribe the bar staff, give them £10 at the start of your holiday and you will get real glasses and slightly better drinks. Even better tip, DONT GO!!!
