Mahdia Beach & Aqua Park

We have been here two years in a row. The animation team are fantastic and I'd say without them the hotel wouldn't be what it is. We came back a second time to see the animation team as they made such an impact on us. MIRO was there Last year also and it was great that he remembered us he works very hard and actually so does the team they deserve a lot more than they get given credit for, they are hands on ready to help at any time anything you need or ask if they can do it they will. The shows that they put on are really great and professional, especially the Micheal Jackson show. We will definitely be coming back to see those guys again.

Perfect Family Fun Day! Initially was hesitant as mixed reviews. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our family recently visited Mahdia Aqua Park, and we had an amazing time! Animation team friendly (Miro, Lilo, Zico, Mario, Astro, Ella, Mario) and very entertaining. Life guards very friendly and helpful, staff very friendly and approachable. Mahdia Aqua Park booked via love holidays, love holidays should be clearer on aqua park opening season, although Mahida Aqua Park makes it clear on their web site, and we had an amazing time! We only got 3 days in the water park but was amazing especially loved the lazy river for a relaxing float, and the kids had a blast at the children’s splash area with smaller slides and shallow pools. Beach is just a very small walk and absolutely lovely. The staff was friendly and attentive, especially the lifeguards, who seemed genuinely focused on everyone’s safety. The food options were decent with a variety of snacks and meals, and the prices were reasonable. The only downside is the distance from airport. If you’re visiting Tunisia, especially with family, I’d highly recommend a day at Mahdia Aqua Park. It’s a perfect mix of relaxation and excitement that everyone will enjoy.

The hotel is really well laid out and the grounds are lovely. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned every day, clean towels everyday. Beach towels provided hairdryer in room good shower all as you'd expect. The pool is great and one of the loveliest beaches I've been too. Yes there are cats in the hotel but you get that and they're cared for by guests and staff. Food was a bit average but as expected in a 'cater for all' family all inclusive resort, and there was always something available, pizza, pasta, crepes, donuts etc. And 24 hour bar :) We ate out a couple of times to see the town and break up the all inclusive monotony a bit and it was great, so cheap and good to see a bit of life outside the hotel. The staff (and there are a lot of them) work really hard to make sure guests have a good time. Yes it's a long transfer from the airport but there you go, worth it for such a beautiful beach. We went camel riding which was fun and everyone was helpful and friendly and wanting you to enjoy their country, which we did. Its a beautiful place perfect for some winter sun and relaxation. And can't leave a review without giving credit to the Animation Team who work their butts off, always on the go, dancing and entertaining the kids and guests. Friendly fun and hardworking they really put in the effort to making sure guests have a good holiday. We didn't find people too pushy with selling extras and yes some of the bar staff are a bit flirty with the ladies, but if that's the worst bit of your holiday then I can cope with that. As a single woman travelling with a teenage daughter I felt safe, yes you get looked at but then you're walking around in a fewer clothes than women who live there would wear. All in all a really good holiday in a beautiful country with warm, welcoming and friendly people :)

PROS - lively and enthusiastic entertainment team who really engage with guests and children - nice location with a very nice beach opposite - spacious rooms with decent beds (I prefer a firm mattress) - aqua park ok - restaurant and bar staff very helpful and offered drinks when we came in CONS - air con in the room didn’t really do much apart from make a lot of noise - only one pillow which gave me a sore neck (this wasn’t really major) - cocktails made from a vending machine with syrups, making them too sweet - food selection mostly the same each day with very little variation - some foods and cups had a really strong washing up liquid taste - very temperamental WiFi which often kicks you off connection and won’t join back Overall, I wouldn’t say my stay at this hotel was bad, but it wasn’t the best. Definitely room for improvements, particularly with the taste of the foods.

This was the best experience ever i loved the animation team they were the best lots of fun with them and lots of things to do you will never be bored when they are around you the hotel its good aways clean the pools are good but the best thing is the animation team!
