Location is the only good thing about this hotel. Beds are VERY uncomfortable and gave me a rash all over my body. Food is subpar. Staff are ok. Air-conditioning did not work which left me unable to sleep. They charge extra for things like the sauna, which other hotels don't charge for!

It is not acceptable that the Hotel, knowing that the customer cannot attend due to no flight, does not agree to change the date of the stay. It is not acceptable. This desire to make a night's profit is not good for the Hotel or for Azorean tourism, demonstrating a total lack of common sense.

It is a nice hotel with an abundant breakfast buffet. Unfortunately we had a room with view of the parking lot. We could change to a suite but had to pay €40 per nicht extra. There are rooms with a view on the pool. These are so much better. I guess if you make a booking with ******* they give you the cheapest room even though you pay the full price.

Ein Hotel mit Potenzial, das leider von den Betreibern nicht genutzt wird. Die Lage ist jedoch perfekt für Ausflüge und fürs Tauchen. Die Zimmer sind modern und wirklich in Ordnung, Es funktioniert alles bestens und alles ist sauber und wird gut gereinigt. Auch die Betten sind hervorragend. Mehr sollte man aber nicht erwarten. Gemütlich wird es im Hotel, im Speiseraum und am Pool nicht. Alle Mitarbeiter und die öffentlichen Bereiche versprühen maximal Krankenhaus-Charme, was von einer furchtbar grellen Beleuchtung überall und von Zug- und Tiefsttemperaturen im Speisesaal verstärkt wird. Die sehr eingeschränkten Öffnungszeiten des Poolbereiches und des Gartens orientieren sich wohl an den Bedürfnissen der Mitarbeiter und nicht an jenen der Gäste.

To be honest, I was a little intrepid about this place given the mixed reviews, but as a hotel it’s a solid enough choice - the room was well appointed and the AC efficient, the breakfast buffet was fine, and the outdoor pool with views over Faial was a nice surprise. Checkout at 12 was useful too. But the main reason I wanted to write a review was to praise Erika, who was very helpful in finding us a spacious, quiet family room on the third floor, and organised a cab for us to the airport. I meant to leave a tip for you Erika but in the end we had to rush off in a hurry - sorry! Thanks to you, we had a great stay and were able to make the most of Pico. Thank you so much.
