Tyger Inn, Derby

A good hotel to stay in cnveniently situated in a positioned place with all local places to visit and a pub serving meals next door. Easy check in and ample parking. Place is a little dated and one or two signs of wear. Be ideal for mattresses to have a protective cover over them and not just a bed sheet.

Nice small rooms. Perfect for couples. Area is quiet and no noises.

I would stay away from this hotel I booked 2 triple rooms in aug 2023 for October 2023 for only them to cancel them without me asking and selling on the rooms over night apparently I wouldn’t of been too bothered but I booked the rooms for the night before my wedding and 7 days before they cancelled leaving me to find new accommodation will never be staying at this hotel and won’t be recommending it

I booked this hotel ,6 months before our stay and 3 days before our stay they cancelled. They stated that they would pay the extra cost because the hotel was near our wedding venue. They never replied to my emails when I asked them . I would not recommend this hotel. They are a let down

Dont use this hotel, send information which is wrong, then say its not them, they took double payment for a room, *********** state they cant get help, we have been left with double payment and trying to chase through credit card company, do not touch this company or hotel.

A large, comfortable room at a competitive price. This is the third time I have stayed at this property, and I would happily return. The hotel used to be a Premier Inn so the rooms are very similar to standard Premier Inn rooms. They are situated around a courtyard and are all at one level so you have relatively few neighbours. There is plenty of car parking even though the car park is shared with a pub. Recommended

Fantastic staff Best Premier Inn we have ever stayed in, immaculately clean, incredible staff who couldn't do enough, they were all so helpful and friendly. Thank you so much we would definitely return.

The hotel really was very poor.. the staff were absent, police called to trouble at the hotel one evening , broken glass all over the car park and the room not cleaned everyday.. I’m not sure why this is being advertised as a premier inn on here as it isn’t… it’s a local chain and it really isn’t great at all.

This was my second stay at the hotel, the first being in May 2017, when it was run by Premier Inn. Back then I found it a very pleasant place to stay. However this time around, I was not so impressed, and found the room I stayed in (Room 6) to be tired and in need of repairs, particularly in the bathroom. The flooring and wall around the toilet were sodden and there was a lot of black sludge building up on the wall and underneath the lino. I suspect there is either a leak from the toilet or an issue with the damp proof course that is coming up from below the floor. The sealant around the bath was mouldy in several places, which looked quite unpleasant. The taps for the bath were wobbly, and the shower was difficult to operate, as the valve to switch between taps and shower kept pinging back down. In the main bedroom, neither of the bedside lamps worked, one was missing a bulb and the other one just didn't work. There was a patch of mould on the ceiling just above the head of the bed, which was quite off-putting. During the night the solenoid/timer for the heating clicked on and off very loudly, which caused a minor disturbance. On arrival, and speaking on the phone before arrival, I found the staff to be rather unhelpful and unfriendly, which was a stark contrast to my experience when it was a Premier Inn. Although we didn't need any assistance during the stay, the receptionist on our arrival seemed to be rather uninterested and abrupt, and it felt like we were an imposition. Based on this experience, I think it is doubtful I would return here unfortunately. It was nice as a Premier Inn, but sadly OYO seem to have paid very little care to it during their tenure.
