This hotel is the longest time I have lived on this trip, and I feel the best. It is a bit of faded glory. You can see that it used to be a very nice hotel, but there is too little maintenance. The biggest downside was the mattress, the springs almost came out. The bathroom is also not at 4-star level. The siphon was broken and all kinds of dirt came out, the shower got cold every now and then. The room was very spacious! We had a nice swim, but the pool could also use some maintenance.

The hotel is in a good location, only 5 mins walk from the Maastricht centrum station. This small hotel has a perfect location, in an old house facing the river Maas, in the most picturesque part of the historic center, near charming shops and restaurants. It’s clean. The rooms are modern, minimalist but well thought out. No breakfast, no coffee makings in the room, no drawers or shelves, certainly no safe, hair dryer only on request from the front desk- it’s not luxe, and a bit of a challenge for older travelers. I didn’t find the staff rude- egalitarian, perhaps- brusque when dealing with complaining, entitled guests but otherwise friendly and very helpful. They were young and cool enough that we actually took their restaurant suggestions.
