It’s situated at the calm & quiet part of Maafushi. Very basic hotel which offers a little facilities to the visitors. We booked city view room for one night with buffet dinner & breakfast. The room & balcony were large but bathroom was little bit uncomfortable. There is no lift in this hotel & doesn’t provide basic toiletries like toothbrush, paste, comb, sanitary bag, shower gel & lotion. It’s an over priced hotel compared to the facilities they offer. Staffs are cordial but not well trained to handle the visitors from around the world. Buffet breakfast & buffet dinner were served with very basic items. Only delicious item was the grilled fish. View from the balcony is good, but not great. Tour packages are not arranged regularly as they don’t have minimum number of visitors. The construction activities all around the hotel don’t make any visitor to enjoy the stay.

Big apartment with wrong proportions: unnecessary big and empty kitchen and uncomfortable small bathroom and very narrow terrace. Good location, near to the bikini beach, but a quiet neighbourhood. The breakfast was decent. Good value for money.

we chose the island instead of a village to experience more of the local life.
the Sunrise hotel we can compare it to the typical Rimini hotel but with 100 times better reception and climate. Always ready to help.
some faults in the details but .... what does it matter ??????!!!!

Sunrise Beach Hotel A hotel below European standards, neglected by the owner, the reception desk is torn and dirty, the sofas and armchairs are covered with dirt, the stairs are littered. The room is better, but not completely. The wallpaper on the wall is torn off, the curtain in the window is partially torn, the curtains have holes. Spacious room with a balcony and bathroom, large bed, air conditioning and fan, fridge, kettle. Room cleaning only at guests' request. The bar-restaurant is located right next to the hotel. It looks like a soup kitchen for the homeless. Very small selection of dishes. Dishes that should be served hot are cold or barely warm. The food looks unappetizing and tastes the same. The hotel staff is polite and helpful, but lacks professionalism.

The staff was not helpful, never smiling or greeting . Specially the guy with curly hairs. We booked speed boat for airport drop off , and he said walk until boat with luggages. Room size was ok, but bed not soft and difficult to sleep, towels old. Food and breakfast not nice. No elevator.Stairs dirty . I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

The location of the hotel is a way off and a 15 minute walk from the jetty port. One has to confirm and re-confirm your arrival at the jetty port so the hotel can arrange a pick up; in our case we have to walk due to miscommunication in the pick up time. The hotel room is basic and not sound proof. TV was not working; aircon remote control was not working properly; and excursion activities are almost non-existent. The buffet breakfast and dinner are basically South Asia cuisine. Service is average.

A good hotel for unpretentious guests. We lived for 10 days. Beautiful view of the sea. What I like most is the location, there are no noisy discos under the windows. It's a pity we didn't have a table on the balcony. Purely. The plumbing works flawlessly. But the number is tired. Cleaning upon request. Beach towels are available at the rack; upon request, a sun lounger can be placed on the bikini beach. Polite staff. Breakfast and dinner buffet. Quite monotonous menu. It’s a pity there are no tables and chairs on the common terrace. We were met and escorted to the pier. This is not the first time we have come, we hope to return again.

We communicated to the hotel 25 days in advance that we are traveling with a 3 year old kid and yet they gave us a forth floor room and there are no lifts, so they expect us to climb to forth floor all the time with a 3 year old. There is no empathy in the way they communicate us especially the lady at the reception. So cold. Worst hotel experience..the floors are sticky even after they are done mopping..food served has no taste.. please do not book breakfast with them.

Szeretem ezt.a.hotelt, mar másodszor jártunk itt. A tulajdonos nagyon segítokesz, a staff kedves. De a reggeli, és a svédasztalos vacsora egyaltalan nem izlett.
Ha **********, vagy agoda rendszeren foglalasz, figylej ida, mert a rendszer odaadja a 3 agyas szobat 4 szemelyre. A szallodaban ingyen kaptunk extra agyat,de fizetni kellett volna erte. Ez nem a szalloda hibaja.
