Complete disappointment for a Hilton. The lobby had no ac and a dryer fan was set up to cool off the front desk worker. The lobby had decorative lanterns that looked as though they hadn’t been dusted in months. The hallways were run down and dirty. The rooms are outdated and worn down. The floors seemed dirty, the shower had mold, just overall not clean. Our first room had no sheets on the bed. Came for CFAW and will be back in the area a lot. However, unless the hotel gets an update I will not be spending $200+ a night to stay here.

I’ve stayed here often when visiting Lynchburg and it had always been a great hotel, but there were some real management and staffing issues during my last visit. It didn’t meet the Hilton standard. First, I checked in online and said I would arrive at 4 pm. I arrived at 4:30 but had to wait another hour because the cleaning crew was short staffed. The lobby was hot due to broken A/C so it wasn’t a comfortable wait. Second, the room, hallways, and elevator had plenty of wear and tear damage. Third, the breakfast options have changed for the worse. The $10 continental breakfast was almost entirely composed of prepackaged foods and the dining room had only one server, making it much worse than the free breakfast at a Hampton Inn. In the future, I would recommend staying at one of the other hotels in town.

I was welcomed by our front desk as a Hilton Honors Diamond member the front desk girls name was Tenaeja! She was a lovely person with a friendly smile and she upgraded me to one of the finest suites. She then sent me a text and asked me how my room was and I told her it was beautiful. I appreciate the follow up it makes you feel when you’re traveling away from home that people actually care about you. Thank you so much, if you are in the Lynchburg area, Nieder place to stay Hilton Garden Inn on wards Road is amazing

Just when we were ready to give up on Hilton after past two less than stellar stays, we stumbled across this property and it was wonderful!! From the minute we walked in the door. We felt welcomed and the staff we’re all very, very nice.! Room was super large, very clean and quiet -another great thing about this property. It is literally surrounded by all kinds of dozens of restaurants and shopping many within walking distance.-would definitely stay here again and will highly recommend this property

Really nice hotel with made to order breakfast. Super clean and desk staff friendlist I have encountered in a long time! The room was very comfortable and location couldn't be beat...close to variety of restaurants and shopping as well as the university. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This is a lovely hotel! Everyone is so nice! The rooms are very clean. I walked around the room in a pair of white socks and they were still white after my visit! The doors close quietly--no banging in the middle of the night like most hotels; I actually got some sleep. And whoever is doing the cooking knows what they're doing. It was the best breakfast I've had in a long time! Thanks guys! Forgot to leave my door key. OOPS So sorry

Tish at the front desk was awesome! Smooth check in and good local advice. Clean and quiet room. Easy parking. Convenient to access. That’s all I can say but Trip Advisor requires 200 characters in the review. :)

The staff is wonderful. Jennifer helped me coordinate 6 rooms for a work conference. If she was not able to chat with me, David stepped in. I want to say, that Tina was helpful in helping me solve some of the problems. 1- My room was next to the pool, and the chlorine was so strong it was burning my eyes, so Tina moved me right away. 2. The room they moved me into, had issues with the air conditioner. The air conditioner unit could only be controlled by the wall unit. Tina helped me get it working. 3. The room phone did not work. 4. The business center was useless. If you needed something printed, you had to send it to the front desk, 5. When a bug was spotted in my room, they had no bug spray and I had to use Spic and Span spray cleaned to knock it off the wall so I could I kill it.

Our Special Olympics softball team stayed here for a tournament and had a great experience. Our rooms were ready on arrival and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was hot, fresh, and delicious every morning so we could to the fields on time. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. Southern hospitality is alive and well at HGI Lynchburg!
