Stanwell House

My husband and I stayed here for one night last night. We have to say that is was an awesome beautiful stay. The hotel is just beautiful. Our room was spotless and an extremely cosy bed, with very chic decor. (Room 10)Loved it. The staff are very polite and profressional in every way, very attentive. I must mention the Supervisor 'Dan' who I feel went above and beyond to ensure that our meal in the restaurant went well which it did. The food was outstanding. The Blade of Beef Cottage pie was exceptionally good. Dan was very aware of everyone in the restaurant, and even made time to engage in conversation with us but without being intrusive. He is a credit to the hotel. He clearly enjoys his job too which is obvious to one and all. All the staff were lovely. I cannot recommend this hotel and staff enough. It truely is a gem of a hotel. The Stay and Dine with Us Offer was just perfext See you all again soon. Oh yes. The cocktails were rather good too!!!

Had a great week-end at Stanwell House; thoroughly enjoyed the setting/room/food and drink at two evening dinners; first night had the starter sharing seafood platter - tremendous and could have easily satisfied four people with no need for a main course. But the best thing is the staff, very attentive, kind and plenty of them to ensure very good service; must name Elise and Dan for their restaurant dinner service on both nights and Jak in the bar. Well set in Lymington High Street with a good Saturday all day market in which many foods, fruit and veg were very well-priced and sundry goods were of good quality. We will return.

The Hotel is not only beautifully decorated through out but is full of elegance, providing you with a 'touch of class as soon as you step through the door. We stayed in one of the terrace rooms, it was spacious, extremely clean with a relaxing view over the court yard. The food served in the hotel is of high quality and we highly recommend dining in, however, the hotel is perfectly positioned on Lymington high street for access to the shops and restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were extremely friendly and professional ensuring our stay was everything we could of hoped for. Thank you. We have stayed in many Hotels, but this is one we will certainly returning to.

We had a fantastic afternoon here after being looked after by Elise. We have been here several times recently and the food and service has been outstanding. Elise has always been attentive, professional and cheerful which just made our whole experience even better. We will be back very soon.

Totally tastefully refurbished since our last visit and hugely impressive, but retaining the same charm and character. Located in the heart of historic Lymington, easy access to the harbour and right on the high street. The restaurant menu is superb with modern British classics as well as superbly curated sharing plates. The menu caters for all dietary requirements and has impressive Vegan options too. The wine list is extensive as are the cocktails. I had probably the most magnificent Fish & Chips with all the usual trimmings. The staff are helpful, polite and attentive. A true icon on the South Coast of England and a superb place to unwind. It’s dog friendly too, which makes it a truly family get away. A booking for the restaurant is essential at the usual peak times as well as the traditional afternoon tea! The rooms are all tastefully decorated and each one has a unique ambiance. I’m sure in summer this place is buzzing given the large rear terrace. Definitely worth a visit and management deserves special praise for making a huge improvement on the traditional building. Well done.

Had an amazing meal for my birthday and nieve was such a good hostess. She looked after us from start to finish and was a friendly helpful member of staff ..thankyou nieve for making our evening so special x Would recommend anyone staying at stanwell the lady that booked us in originally was so helpful too infact everyone has been great 👍 Well done guys you rock ...
