My husband and I were seasonal’s at this campground for only one year under the new owners management. Stay away from this place, it’s bad news and they DO NOT represent the maritime hospitality that us east coasters are a custom to. I am a film student, and was filming around to document the Nova Scotia housing crisis (as a lot of people rely on camping in the summer months) the owner got mad because I was filming and physically lunged at me to get the camera out of my hand. Other campers had to hold him back from assaulting me. Needless to say that was our last year there, we will never go back along with 15-20 other seasonal’s who pulled out this year. We were quiet campers, hardly ever there and when we were, we were in bed by 9:30-10pm. We kept to ourselves and respected other campers. Their facilities were always dirty and gross, the pool had a constant oily film layer on top and they poured straight bleach in it. They kicked the seasonal kids off the playground the first day of fall even though the campground doesn’t close until October 15th. They are shady people (not from Nova Scotia) and kicked everyone out who was not the same colour as them, who was *** or had tattoos or didn’t agree with them in any way. This campground feels like a cover / front for a drug money laundering operation. There is no way an actual ‘business’ could ever treat their customers the way they treated everyone there this year! You would often see Sam, the owner peaking in the bushes all hours of the night, it was super creepy and unsettling as he acted like a predator. There is no sense of customer service and it feels like a prison camp.
