"As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I chose this hotel expecting the high standards typically associated with the brand. Unfortunately, my recent stay turned into a disappointing experience due to repeated service failures across multiple departments. The issues started at check-in, where I provided my membership details and requested updates to my Bonvoy account. The front office team assured me it would be handled, but the information was neither updated nor communicated back to me. The most concerning issue was hygiene. I encountered a cockroach in both the bedroom and bathroom areas of my room, something that is completely unacceptable for a hotel operating in this segment. I have video evidence of the incident. The breakfast experience was equally frustrating. Buffet items were not maintained at an appropriate temperature, and despite pre-ordering a Pesarattu a day in advance, the request was not communicated to the morning team. I had to explain everything again and wait an unreasonable amount of time for my breakfast. Room readiness was below expectations, with basic amenities missing. In addition, the motorized blinds in the room were malfunctioning and remained stuck throughout my stay, limiting natural light and negatively impacting the room experience. What makes this particularly disappointing is that the failures were not isolated to one department. Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and Engineering all fell short during the same stay, suggesting deeper issues with communication, accountability, and quality control. While every hotel can have an occasional lapse, multiple service breakdowns within a single stay raise concerns about operational standards. I hope the management team takes this feedback seriously and demonstrates meaningful corrective action. At present, I find it difficult to justify choosing this property again despite my loyalty to the Marriott brand."

Holiday Inn LUCKNOW AIRPORT by IHG
"I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Lucknow, and while it has a promising location near the airport, unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The hotel is well-built, but the lack of cleanliness and hospitality makes it far from a pleasant stay. We checked in around 10:30 PM and were initially assigned rooms that were far from up to standard. To our surprise, they were on a smoking floor, which we didn’t request. After raising the issue, they did move us to another floor, but the new room wasn’t much better. The cleanliness was subpar – there were food crumbs, residue on the table, and leftover trash on the floor, including pom poms, lentils, and clothing tags from previous guests. The blankets were visibly dirty as well. Despite the disappointing room conditions, I’ll give credit to the fact that the hotel is freshly built, and the location is convenient for those traveling to or from the airport. The breakfast spread was also quite good, which is a redeeming factor. However, the overall experience was disappointing, especially from a brand like IHG. It’s hard to consider this hotel as part of the IHG family when it fails to meet basic cleanliness standards. I strongly feel that the hotel needs a proper audit and closer inspection from headquarters to ensure better management and guest satisfaction. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here unless improvements are made."
