Title: Bad experience – Not recommended Review: My stay at this hotel, which calls itself Asia Grand House but is actually called Zhou Hao Hotel, was a huge disappointment. Although the hotel looks like a new place (as of 2024), it has been around for over 10 years. So don't be fooled by the name. Communication was terrible. No one spoke English, which made even simple things a challenge. Regarding breakfast: we were supposed to get four breakfasts per night. The first day I had to ask for it myself, and we only got one. This consisted of a simple bun and a drink – a huge disappointment and far removed from a normal breakfast buffet with bread, eggs, fruit and juice. The days after, bread and milk were arranged, but even that was amateurish: the bread was simply heated up in a microwave, because there was no toaster. Of course, that is inedible. We also had to set the table ourselves. The scooter rental was also chaotic. My passport was supposed to be kept at the hotel by the receptionist, as agreed. However, this turned out not to be true. When I wanted to get my passport back, I was given an unbelievable excuse that it was in an external office. This office did not exist at all, because the scooter owner was happily standing outside with my passport in his hand. It was a drama to get it back, and without a passport you can't do anything in a country like Laos. Extending our stay was also a frustrating experience. I paid extra to stay in our current room. However, when we came back from riding the scooter later, we were suddenly asked to pay an extra $25. In the end, we decided to move to the booked room and demanded the extra amount back. This whole process was also unnecessarily complicated and frustrating. The laundry service was also unprofessional. For 30,000 kip I got my laundry back wet in a basket and had to hang it up and fold it myself. This is not what you expect from a paid service. On top of that, the facilities were in poor condition. The shower barely worked: almost no water came out, and hot water was rare. In addition, the sink leaked constantly, which made for a dirty and uncomfortable bathroom experience. The hotel is completely geared towards Chinese guests. If you don't speak Chinese or Lao, you won't feel welcome here at all. All in all, this stay negatively affected our entire impression of Laos. Conclusion: I definitely do not recommend this hotel. Poor communication, unprofessional service, poorly maintained facilities and a lack of respect for guests make this a stay to avoid.

The hotel is owned by a Chinese, and the owner is very nice. The hotel is a little off the beaten track, but it can provide a tuk-tuk service, and the cost is at the expense of the guests. The hotel has just opened, and the service details need to be improved.

It's a bit remote and not very convenient to the old town, but the price/performance ratio is very high, the room is large, the supplies are good, and the Chinese boss is quite down-to-earth. The kitchen is usable, and the breakfast service needs to be improved.

You can’t find this accommodation on google map, the receptionist cannot speak English. If you want to walk into the town it’s a bit far. You can check the real name of this accommodation in the picture. Oh, one more important thing for the breakfast they would give you a bag of bread and few bottles of milk and needed serve by yourself.

The boss is Chinese and communication is easy Breakfast is provided and hot water is provided. The room is clean and bright. It is two or three kilometers away from Foreigner Street. It is more convenient to rent a car when traveling. You can rent it at the front desk🏍️ and the price is reasonable.

The hotel has a superior location and convenient transportation. The hotel logo is obvious and easy to find. Both software services and hardware facilities are overall very good! The room is spacious and bright, with exquisite decoration and full of Southeast Asian style! The beds are very comfortable, allowing you to enjoy a high quality sleep. The front desk service is warm and thoughtful, and all questions raised are solved with care, making people feel at home!
