Firstly, we marked it is honeymoon stay but there is no gesture of welcoming you for a honeymoon stay at all.
We booked £310 for Deluxe Room per night in a rural area. They allowed us early check in but they don’t even write us a card for honeymoon stay or anything.
We booked the restaurant at £80 per head but the menu is totally different from what shown online. It is not professional at all.
They front office is also unfriendly to Chinese and the staff has a sense of hierarchy. I felt disgusting for it.
The only good thing is the breakfast.

We stayed one night for my husband’s birthday and we were very disappointed. There was no fridge in the room so our milk had turned sour by the next day. The cold water taps ran hot and the shower in the Valentine suite was impossible to turn on and off. At 750 pounds per night we were certainly expecting a lot more. We tried to have a drink in the bar before dinner but the barman told my husband they were no longer taking outside guests as the bar was full! We had dinner in the pub across the road and again this was underwhelming. We were expecting it be nice and cosy but the atmosphere just felt cold and the lighting was too bright. Last but not least, my breakfast the next was so awful that I couldn’t even it. Brown avocado, hard mushrooms and a very stingy portion of sloppy scrambled eggs. Would not stay again nor recommend.

Nice venue but pricy
Great venue and location. The grounds are well kept and nice to spend time in.
The en-suite was very tired and shower in poor condition. Should of been cleaner.

Amazing
Firstly the staff was amazing, they went above and beyond to help in anyway they could my disabled in-laws who said they felt so special, so a deep thanks from us.
Side note: we had an electric car and would be helpful for an on-site charger (the goverment has a £5k grant available, just thought I would mention it) clearly didn’t impact our stay just worth a mention.

Fantastic character and good food
Very good hotel in ideal location in the Slaughters. Good rooms and lovely dining room with solid service. Good is pricey but very good and wine list very strong. Book with confidence.
