First of all, prior to my arrival, I had left several messages a month before arrival so I could get some information on the spa package I had purchased but no one returned my phone call. I got a phone call a day prior just to find out that there are new owners. I booked the Bed and Breakfast because of the reviews and chef breakfast. The first morning, I had asked if we could have our breakfast at 8:00 am. The owner accommodated but you could tell that she was not happy having to get up early to make us breakfast. When I asked if we could have breakfast again at 8:00, she said no and proceeded to tell me that she accommodated the day before but that is not common and that her son was playing in a football game so it was going to be a long night for her. The website clearly says breakfast is served between 8:30-9:30 but we weren’t offered any alternatives or even a to-go box. So FYI apparently breakfast is at 9:30 am. 2. My room was given 2 towels for 2 people for 4 days and one toilet paper roll. I texted her for extra towels. Crickets! I never heard from her so I had to find a towel to use. Because there wasn’t any breakfast, decided to heat up a pie in the guest microwave near the kitchen. When I opened up the microwave door, there was food that was in there for awhile with about 13 gnats. It was very disgusting. Also, she does not live on the property so it is like staying at a hotel without a manager or staying in an Airbnb. You will not get the hospitality and that personal touch that you may be looking for in a Bed and Breakfast.
