This hotel is very close to the airport (about a 5 minute drive). I did see the hotel shuttle to the airport in front of the hotel but we did not use this service. The hotel seemed very clean in the common areas. The breakfast was okay with the standard offerings, waffles, eggs, sausage, juice, etc. and it did start at 6am even on the weekends. The room was comfortable with the sink outside of the bathroom which I always find helpful when traveling. Wifi was fine and I had no issues connecting. My only negative was the first day I wanted hot water from the coffee bar in the lobby and I tried 3 different times, hours apart and never did get a cup until the next night. I could have asked but didn't. Overall I was satisfied with my stay and I would stay here again if traveling out of Dulles Airport.

Stayed for 1-night and a wonderful stopover experience as usual with Best Western. Very warm and friendly welcome from the 2 ladies at the front desk. Seeing we have luggage they gave us a room on the ground floor as there was no lift, car boot to room. Hotel was spread widely but has great WiFi cover. Room was a 2 bedder but a little tight with a misplaced dining table and 2 chairs. Otherwise well furnished with a microwave, fridge, TV and very comfortable beds with choice of pillows. Very clean too. Breakfast is great with hot food in a spacious setting. Well worth the stay and value.

This hotel is in desperate need of an update. Then lobby appeared to be updated and the lower level. The pool was closed due to COVID19 😞 The gym was pretty up todate and nice selection of equipment. Enjoyed my earlier morning work out. Now the elevator was on the small side the cart barley fit in. The floor of the elevator was stained and need to be replaced. The room was definitely need an update. They left no hand soap out and only had soap in the shower. The bathroom was very small and tight. The water pressure was low and took a long time to get hot water going. The room had a musty smell not sure if it was the sanitizer they used but cleared up pretty quickly with a little help from the Tide sanitizer spray I carry with me on every trip. The beds were comfortable but again two queens were rather close together and the refrigerator in the room was very small. The pictures of the room were after we slept so the beds were made properly didn’t think of getting pictures before hand. The breakfast area was nice they had a decent selection and were priced fairly for a hotel. The service was good and food came out quickly. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would come back after they do an update for sure.

Today is my wife's birthday, so I went to a restaurant thinking about breakfast.
However, the restaurant is closed, and there is a bistro next to it,
but instead of serving the food on a plate like McDonald's,
they made it by rolling it on paper.
Also, the prices(11$) were high and the staff were unfriendly.
I don't want to use the restaurant again.

Would recommend staying at Archer in mosaic instead. This Marriot does not live up to the brand standards. First of all their lock system is all messed up (maybe just specific to 1007, but I would get the green indicator that key is working but door would not open and became a 2 hand engagement with constant retires). Room cleaning is also lousy, as I am staying from 4/28 till 5/3, the bedding is sloppy, they forget used towels in the room, they won't take out empty water bottles. It just doesn't add up in the Marriot experience. The walls are also very thin and unfortunately I have had to listen to a guy next door for two days. Parking is a little hard and ends up with a lot of walking but that is not too bad in the grand scheme of things. And smallest of them all is that they can't even get the label correctly implemented on their phone. It is truly a sad story.

We stayed at the Spark in Germantown for a family event. It was a disappointing experience. ROOMS - there's an infestation of ants in several rooms, one family member had to check out, the ants had taken over the counters. Hotel said they were sold out, so she went to the Sheraton. Another family member changed rooms after she found bugs under the bed sheet. a third family member had a smelly wall air conditioner unit-they changed the filter, but it didn't help. No ice, no microwave, no cups in bathroom, no alarm clock-bare minimums. The rooms have a stale odor. BREAKFAST - I would suggest going to the area restaurants, the bagel breakfast offered didn't taste fresh. FITNESS CENTER - water was dripping from the ceiling, as such tile had fallen to the floor. Called the front desk to let them know..., they sent someone who did a very poor job in attempting to clean it up, dripping water wasn't addressed. ROOM RATE - was very attractive for the first night, but the rate was increased for the second and third nights. I have never experience a hotel changing the room rate after the rate has been confirmed. Felt like bait and switch, the room rate shouldn't change after the reservation is confirmed. At check out the manager wasn't around, I called back and got a supervisor who told me that's the way they price rooms, rate is subject to change based upon occupancy. Even after they have confirmed the reservation. STAFF - all seemed pleasant, but young and inexperienced. At checkout the young man was yelling from behind the wall that he was coming..., took him almost 5 minutes to come check us out. RECOMMENDATION - I would not stay here again and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are many hotel choices in the area, it was a poor hotel experience.

Our family of 5 stayed here for a week. Everything was clean and in good working order, the staff was pleasant and helpful and the location was close to everything we needed. Parking was easy and free and breakfast was adequate. We felt the fitness center was larger than expected. We REALLY appreciated the daily housekeeping at this property as that doesn’t seem to be common these days. Though this hotel doesn’t have a pool, there are several community pools within 15 min of the property that allow you to swim for a small fee. We went to the one in Old Town and an indoor one at a recreation complex and greatly enjoyed it. Though we found this on our own, it would be great if hotel staff could recommend these options.

From the time Brysen handled the details of our check in until the time we checked out, our party (which had nine rooms for a weekend) was handled with thoughtfulness and care. The facility is beautiful and well kept. The location is wonderful and convenient to everything. However, the team working at the hotel made our weekend. They were gracious, welcoming and extended us every courtesy to help us to navigate a very busy weekend. Taxis to get us to the event? No problem. Room service with complicated orders? Done. Brysen even ran out to pick up an order for us when we unfortunately arrived during a time when the kitchen was closed. Literally going the extra mile. We were treated as honored guests and had a lovely time. Thanks to Lindsey for the no fuss checkout with so many details handled efficiently and politely. We will return happily to Sofitel DC on our next trip to DC.

My stay was short just one night but my room was clean and the person at the front desk was friendly and kind. The only thing I think you should check into is maybe doing something different about those powder scrambled eggs that you serve for breakfast. May use a better substitute for them . Other than that my stay was great.

GGuest UserI was attending the AMVETS National Executive Committee Meeting at the Washington Dulles Airport Marriott the second week of March. When we first arrived we were greeted with a warm smile at the front desk. Angela P. was the perfect host and the epitome of customer service. Very personable and accommodating to our needs for our stay, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Along with Erin and Darnell, the staff at the front desk and the security officers were outstanding! However, the event group leadership and staff is another story. It seemed that a certain individual was trying to make a name for themselves and in doing so destroyed a great portion of our enjoyment during our stay. I will say he and his minions provided us a memory that will be remembered for quite a long time; a memory exactly opposite of the wonderful service we received at the front desk! Kudos to Angela and her co workers!
RralphyangelPrice wise one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. My wife and I could not believe the great service, clean and comfortable room, and incredible buffet breakfast. The general manager was always on hand and made it a point to greet every sinle guest at the breakfast table. My wife and I spent over 20 years in the service hotel industry and were quite amazed at the level of service of this particular property. Well done!
GGuest UserI’d like to begin by letting you know the lady at the front desk that checked me in was very sweet, professional, and empathetic. Even though she had to deliver bad news to me, the sting wasn’t there because of how she treated me. I was so tired that it forgot to get her name. We book a room with two double beds because we are traveling with two children. When we checked in at 11:00 PM, after driving for seven hours, I was informed they sold out of all the room types I had already paid for. They gave us a king room with a couch. I let the gal know we had two children and she said she would give extra bedding. When we got to the room, which is quite nice, the couch wasn’t at all as one would expect. It’s three modular cubes. When I picked up the extra bedding, there was enough for only one child. Thankfully we had extra blankets and pillows in our car so we could make a padded area on the floor for child #2. When it was time to sleep we realized the curtain doesn’t close, so the room became quite bright earlier in the morning than we were needing, because there weren’t the type of curtains that completely cover the window. Our bathroom door will not stay closed because it doesn’t latch. The king size bed is nice and the bedding is very nice. The drawers are spacious. We have a refrigerator, keurig coffee maker, and a microwave oven. All work perfectly. There is a space to hang up clothes and a rack above to store luggage. In anticipation of hungry children, I pre-toasted bagels before leaving home and slightly warmed them in the microwave before spreading on the cream cheese. Happy belly’s. (I know, not a healthy breakfast, but it did the job.) we brought along Go-Go Squeeze fruit purées, Danimals drinkable yogurt, and fizzy waters for snacking. We are about to check out the pool, so right now I can’t comment on that.
PPassport46780136106In town to visit my dying dad for 2 days and it was the closest to the rehab place. I wanted to check in early before seeing my dad but that costed $50 extra bucks. So they just help my bags. Breakfast is only from 6;30am to 9:30am and I didn’t partake. Mostly because I was/am emotionally drained with my dad situation. But night 2 the smoke alarm battery went off at midnight. And I called down to the front desk. No one answered. So I attempted to sleep which didn’t happen. I call down at 7:30am to complain and was told I was to walk down to the front desk at midnight to find a person to fix the issue in the room I was paying for. It was my fault for not going the extra mile. I will never stay here again. Crappy service and absolute zero compassion. Only good thing is you can walk through grass and trees to get to a lake to walk around and either Sweet water Tavern or Olive Garden.
GGuest UserREd roof Inn Leesburg is a kinfd of Motel. Nice staff. Scott very kind and open to help . Basic not hot breakfast. Close to shopping area, supermarket, you can even go for a walk to town
Room not very spacious for four, very small bathroom, but renovated.
Traveling w my partner & dog. We used to like aloft bc they didn’t charge for pets. Welp, we spoke too soon bc now they do. Here’s the rub…my partner is a PLATINUM Marriott Bonvoy member. If you use bonvoy, you appreciate how hard that is to maintain. EVERY time we book, we ask for an extra blanket & 2 pillows. One of us is always cold & we both want pillows to prop up & watch tv since this price/grade of hotel doesn’t have extra seating. No matter how early or late we book, we never get the pillows or blanket. It’s pretty annoying. I understand that this is a less expensive hotel but I think we asked about FIVE times since. It’s ridiculous. Why does Marriott even ask if they’re not going to oblige? Other than that, the rooms are generally clean albeit on the small side. Today there was no disposable plastic cups-only a reusable one. With COVID still in the works, it’s not really acceptable. What’s happening at Aloft? We used to love!
GGuest UserWe checked in fine and asked about somewhere to eat. The guy on reception recommended a nearby hotel which has an 'Irish' bar attached ('Irish' in the loosest term!) He said the shuttle would be happy to take us and we arranged a time. This went to plan and we shared the ride with 2 other people, they arranged a return journey and so did we but for a little later. Halfway through our meal the driver returned and came to our table, it was nowhere near our arranged collection time! So, we sorted out a time for him to come back later. We waited, waited and waited some more. Eventually gave up and walked the half hour back to the hotel, fairly busy roads and no footpath/sidewalk so we had to be careful. When we got back to the hotel, there was the shuttle bus, no sign of the driver and the receptionist unable to explain what had happened. Now don't get me wrong, the shuttle offer/idea is very welcome. But it has to be put into practice and done right. Had there been an emergency, an airport run was needed etc then we would have understood. But the little bus was just sat there. I see from other reviews that others have also experienced shuttle problems, fortunately ours wasn't an airport run so wasn't drastic, but for those coming off long flights it must be very frustrating, obviously something that the hotel needs to address. However, the hotel was fine, did the job, the room was comfy enough and the breakfast ok, wasn't an extensive choice but it was fine. There's also a petrol station where we got some sandwiches for our drive and they were delicious!
GGuest UserFriendly hotel service. Abundant and varied breakfast (also hot). Spacious rooms for four. Generally carpeted floors, some renovated with imitation wood floors like ours. The pool was not very clean.
Close to shopping area and supermarket. Nice little village Leesburg
GGuest UserThere was one major reason I booked this hotel. They offered 14 day parking, (we were going to be gone for 9 days), so .....bonus. Their website also offered free airport shuttle service from 5AM to midnight, since we had a 7:40AM flight out the next morning, this was ideal. When I asked the front desk clerk about making sure the shuttle would be available for a 5AM departure, she informed me the shuttle operated from 7A to 10P. I showed her the hours posted on the website and she said she was sorry but it was a mistake. We were forced to take an Uber the next morning. Lobby smelled of cigarette smoke. Room was clean but dated. accommodations were OK for the one night stay. Upon return to Dulles, called for the shuttle. We were told they would be at the pickup point in 10 minutes. We were at the pickup point in under 10 minutes, waited 15 minutes and called again. We were told the driver made a pickup and left. Was told they don't wait for anyone and that we would have to wait another 15 minutes before the shuttle left again because the shuttle operated every 30 minutes. Their website says differently, see pics. To be fair, their website has been updated, since my complaints, to reflect the new shuttle hours but had they been accurate to begin with, that would have steered me to use another hotel in the area to begin with. The number one reason for picking this hotel was the early shuttle, as described on their website, which they didn't offer. Do not use this hotel unless you like to be disappointed. Never again!
