Hollywood
We booked a room through agoda for 4 persons. Website mentioned that breakfast is included in room rates. However NO breakfast was provided despite having paid for it. The front desk informed that due to covid there is no breakfast and NO refund was provided. Website information is totally misleading.... The room for 4 persons was basic but okay. On request, extra blankets and coffee pouches were provided. Room was cleaned daily. There was no closet. There is a microwave in common area which can be used on request from front desk. However the property is quite rundown and needs maintenance. The carpets are stained and linen is well worn out. Would do well to replace the linen and carpets. Most electric sockets don't work making phone charging a challenge. Wyndham really needs to do a quality control to make the property come up to its standards There are other options in the vicinity like the Hollywood inn which seemed better but as our room was non refundable, we had no choice.... The property is located two blocks from metro. There is a Target and a CVS nearby. The Thai town is two blocks away with good restaurants for Thai food. Location wise it is convenient but there are a lot of homeless people in the area. Some camp right opposite the property at night giving the area a rough look.

The surrounding environment of the hotel is generally less than the previous stay in Silicon Valley and Disney. At night, there is no way to go out at the door. The supermarket has a motel exterior. The room is still very good. The size of the twin bed is large enough. There is a small closet room and the bathroom is also spacious and self-driving. Sleeping on the last night in Los Angeles, there is nothing else to ask for breakfast, no breakfast, very simple parking, free drinking water, you need to buy it yourself.

The room is quite clean, the facilities are quite complete, the room Wi-Fi is not very good, the hotel is at the end of Colorado Avenue, there is no big shopping center, there is a 7-11 around, walking about three minutes, next to There is a Japanese restaurant, and there are still places to eat. Breakfast is very simple, guests can eat at the in-house, so there is no room for meals.

Venice Beach
Found this place here on TA. I was looking to stay almost anywhere near the 405 and this was one of the highest rated, best values around. Yes, the property is an older motel-type setup, but it seems to be recently updated I like the laminate floors over dingy carpet you find in so many other places. My king bed was firm and I slept like a baby. Easy parking, pleasant service. As others have mentioned, don’t put too much stock in the “free breakfast.” There are no eggs, waffles, or anything hot. I literally had a bowl of Raisin Bran, just like at home :) If you’re visiting from outside of California, you’d be well-served to go get yourself a Mexican breakfast at El Jacalito or famous Paca’s Tacos. Both walkable.

Good value for money. There are places to eat, drink and play nearby within walking distance. If you have any small problems, Ctrip will solve them perfectly.
