This youth hostel is located in Foz. At the mouth of the Douro. We have a pleasant double room with shower and toilet. The view from the room is beautiful. The sea and the sunset every evening! In the morning you can have breakfast from the buffet. There isn't much variety. You can have a good meal here with a sandwich, yoghurt or fruit. This is the ideal place for us. When we return from the city there is peace and a beautiful view! You can easily get into the city from here by bus. Every fifteen minutes one goes in front of the door (207) or down along the river (500). In the evening we grab a beer and a boat from the supermarket across the street.

Used to traveling all over the world in hotels, hostels, homestays or even camping, I had never had an experience like this before. Of course, the self-service food is edible and you don't have to be demanding. I was with 3 friends in a room which overlooked the towers and we used the shared showers and WC. Of the 3 toilets, none locked. Also, when we arrived we had the pleasant surprise of having hair on our sheets. Of course, the staff is welcoming but when we saw a bedbug (SEE PHOTO) on one of our mattresses, they didn't do what was necessary. In fact, he simply came into the room to spray the bedbug with a special spray, then removed it with a tissue and only changed the bottom sheet. We still had the other half of the week left in this hostel and we did not change beds or rooms even though the bedbugs are in the mattresses and therefore require special intervention. Surprisingly, I looked at the reviews for the hostel and I was far from the only one who had found bedbugs. In short, I do not recommend this hostel if you want to have a good stay in Porto.

Thefts in rooms during the day. Do not leave anything outside the suitcases. Don't want to know anything. No recourse possible. Ask not to do the cleaning before your departure. A shame. Wasted trip.

We arrived at the scheduled time to check-in, the girl at the reception was very nice (she tried to understand us). The room, the best the views; We liked the little balcony a lot. The room is partly very clean, as it is survival. Towels and gel in a dispenser next to the sink. To put it another way, every time you flush the toilet, water comes out. To get around, the bus is the best option. Residential area, around lownos on Sunday seemed quite quiet.

Chagamos na pousada e só conseguimos dormir as 02:00h am, pois havia muito barulho de adolescente no corredor e após reclamação na recepção nada foi realizado. Banheiro estava sujo e entupido na parte do Banho. Péssima experiência.
