"The view is stunning, but the location is difficult to get to (it is not clear on the maps). I would not bring a heavy suitcase because you will encounter stairs and pathways (it is not directly accessible by car so you will have to carry your belongings. It was very clean and the rooms were large. The A/C worked and it was sound insulated. The food was delicious. The service was great, but they didn't know I spoke mandarin and one of the boys working was complaining about our luggage right in front of us. A children's TV show was being played in the lobby so loudly it could be heard from inside the room on the fourth floor. If you are an early sleeper, do not stay here because you can hear music from the town until about 10pm. I would not spend as much time as I did here again."

"This guesthouse is absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend it! The owner was incredibly kind and attentive. Noticing our heavy luggage, he immediately offered to help us carry it, displaying truly warm and thoughtful service. It offers excellent value for money; the rooms are well-equipped and incredibly comfortable.
The location is also incredibly convenient, just a short distance from two scenic viewpoints, saving us a lot of travel time. Traveling with our child, we needed to extend our check-out by two hours, and the owner graciously agreed, showing immense understanding for the challenges of parenting on the go.
He even surprised our child with their favorite passion fruit, which made them incredibly happy. Overall, our experience was flawless!"

"Mama and I had such a great experience here on our 3-day (2-night) trip to the 龙脊 rice terraces. Cannot recommend these guys enough! They were so friendly from the start and service was AMAZING.
We got quite lucky with our room. We were able to catch the sunrise every morning coming over the “back of the dragon”. Location was great too, being not too far from the 九龙五虎 and 七星半月 observation decks. Aside from the view, the place was clean with the usual amenities. Their home-cooked Guilin specialty meals also made for great dinner. Almost everything was home grown and locally sourced, and oh so tasty!
They were also great with our check-out and send-off, helping us organise a car/driver to our next stop (Yangshou) and a little farewell token that read “ 一生平安” which translates to “a lifetime of peace and safety”. We even picked up some of their monk fruit (羅漢果) and passion fruit (百香果) before we left! Thank you for making us feel so welcome 西窗月!

"This place was outstanding in all dimensions. The owners clearly love the place, the entire experience was amazing. The service was fantastic, they offered to drive us and pick us up from the scenic viewpoints throughout our stay. They helped coordinate pick up and drop off from the train stations (for a fair fee) as it is a bit hard to get there without your own car. They also served us their rice wine at dinner, and provided bottles to take home when we checked out. They were always checking in on how our stay was, very proactive communication. We stayed in the panorama room and the view from their hotel is incredible. Very clean, all amenities we needed provided. I would 1000% recommend this place if you can make it out here."

This is an incredible place! The hotel is perfectly situated with the best views. The rooms are new, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed. The staff are incredibly friendly and always ready to assist. The food at the restaurant is absolutely delicious! You can just relax there and soak in the magnificent views.
There's a nearby viewing platform perfect for capturing stunning photos. And a beautiful swimming pool offering panoramic terrace views! Everything here is simply perfect! I highly recommend staying here!

"We had an amazing stay, the view was spectacular and the staff were extremely hospitable. On our last day we had trouble getting to the neighbouring town (Dazhai) to sightsee, however the hotel staff were able to help us out, drove us there, and then even back to Guilin City to our next accommodation!
The hotel also serves food, so breakfast and dinner were no problem. The food was delicious and authentic, made with local ingredients.
We would definitely recommend to our friends and family to stay here on their next trip."

The room was quite spacious and the bed very comfortable. We enjoyed beautiful views of the terraced fields right from our balcony. The owner was incredibly hospitable and even helped us with our luggage.
Cons:
However, there were a few issues. The balcony door lacked a lock, which made us feel quite uneasy and unable to sleep soundly. Hand soap was not provided, and some power outlets were faulty, causing plugs to fit loosely. Additionally, the frosted glass wall separating the bathroom/shower was quite transparent, making it easy to see through – definitely not ideal for families."

"The reviews were absolutely spot on: the owner has impeccable taste, is incredibly kind, and truly goes out of their way to accommodate any request. I highly recommend the Sunrise Loft room. The hotel is perfectly situated between Viewing Platforms #1 and #2, giving it an absolutely unbeatable, prime location. Even though there were only two of us, we booked the 4-person loft room, and it was fantastic to lie in bed and watch the rice terraces. Unfortunately, a typhoon brought rain, so we missed the sunrise. However, we were treated to a vast and ethereal sea of clouds. Despite this minor regret, the trip was still incredibly worthwhile. The owner's homemade rice wine is absolutely delicious – cold, sweet, and refreshing. Enjoying it with tasty dishes like bamboo chicken was truly one of life's great pleasures. When we arrived, the owner kindly picked us up from the parking lot. On our departure, we were rushing to Yangshuo, and the owner recommended a driver who was not only charming but also incredibly skilled, navigating the winding mountain roads with impressive ease. Later, when we hired a car in Yangshuo, the local driver, upon hearing the price we paid for our transfer from the hotel, immediately exclaimed it was an incredibly fair deal. The owner is truly exceptional!"

"It is unexpected to live in such a high-end and elegant room in a rural scenic spot! The hotel room is exactly the same as the one seen on the Internet. The decoration is elegant. The room is much larger than the average hotel room. The bedding is new. The bed is soft and comfortable. The smart toilet, the large screen projector, the bathroom is three separated with a bathtub. From the window of the room, you can see the best angle of the terrace panoramic view. The photos on the balcony are very colorful. We had dinner at our own homestay. The taste of the dishes was very good. The bamboo chicken and bamboo rice were very delicious. The sweet rice wine was especially delicious! The boss service is particularly enthusiastic, go to the parking lot to pick up and drop off our luggage, and introduce us to how to get to the attractions. Because we needed to return the room for our own reasons, the boss gave it back without any complaints. We felt guilty, but the boss said it didn't matter. Shuyue B & B is located in Jinkeng Dazhai, near the No. 3 Golden Buddha top viewing platform. You can walk two minutes to the cable car position. The hotel provides free parking service or baggage transfer service. The viewing position of our shop is excellent. The rooms are equipped with viewing positions, and all of them are matched with automatic curtains and large-area floor to ceiling windows. Some rooms are also equipped with projection equipment. Open the window in the guest room and lie on the bed to look forward to the beautiful scenery of the terraces and the sun, moon and stars. We also have a restaurant with national flavor, special dishes, pollution-free vegetables, smoked cured meat, self brewed fragrant rice wine, mountain spring water of nature, etc。
"Highly recommended! The owner of the B&B is so nice. We took the bus to the Dazhai parking lot, and he picked us up in his pickup truck. So cool! 😁 Then we went to the cable car in the afternoon, and the owner even gave us a ride. On our last day, we went to the No. 2 viewing platform to play, but we were a bit rushed back, so the owner told us to go directly to the Dazhai parking lot. He helped us deliver our luggage to the parking lot and met us there. I was so touched and grateful! !!! The B&B environment is also great, exactly like the pictures. The room not only has a refrigerator, but also a washing machine, the toilet is smart, and the curtains are automatic. It completely exceeded our expectations. Who knows the feeling of waking up in the morning and opening the curtains to see the terraced fields outside? !!! I really recommend staying at this B&B when you visit Longji! !!!"

Visiting during the off-season definitely paid off, as the owner even upgraded us to a 270-degree panoramic glass view room. We also tried their bamboo tube chicken and wild vegetables. The owner freshly prepared a free-range chicken he raised himself, and served with his homemade chili sauce, it was absolutely incredible! The wild vegetables were super delicious too! Since we had a high-speed train in the afternoon the next day, the owner woke up early to cook us incredibly delicious noodles. The location is also excellent, perfectly situated between Qixing Banyue and Jiulong Wuhu. It was effortless to visit both viewing platforms from there. Highly recommended!

I also invited us to drink tea. When I left the next day, I bought the boss’s house. The air was fresh, quiet and comfortable.

TTuan Ying GohHad such a pleasant and memorable experience at this inn. The boss, Mr Yu, is super down to earth and sincere. He cooked super well too - taste is just nice, not too oily or salty. And all his ingredients are fresh from his farm, even the chickens and fishes. What a farm-to-table experience. As it is the low peak season now, he could sit down and have good chats with us.
The room is huge, with an unblock mountain view. It’s also near to viewing point 2. There’s this cute inn dog who is so loyal.
The room is well kept, with a balcony for you to sit and sip wine or tea. Note that there are insects because we are by the mountains but you could bring your own repellent. We slept well here.
The driver, Mr Yang, who drove us up Long Ji also stayed at this inn. We asked that he drives us around for the three days we are here and send us back to Guilin city. His driving skill is very stable and he’s very well-versed with the mountain roads (as he’s a local).
What can I say, this experience is simply too memorable. Human relationships forged is the magical part of travel. Would highly recommend you to come experience this inn for yourself (of course during the peak season, the boss might not have time to sit down for a chat).

LLeonie WigleyI had an absolutely wonderful stay here. I went out of season, so I was the one of the only guests for two days, this made if even more special. if you travel during rainy season make sure to have rainboots and rain proof coats etc. The nights and mornings can get very cold so prepare warm clothes. The family helped me from booking a local shuttle bus from Yangshuo to arrive and departing and also picked me up on my day of arrival from the park entrance. The Homestay is quite far up the hills, not very easy to find you need to carpool or ask owners to help with scooter ride, but the views and people make it all the worthwhile. It is close to many hiking trails and view points. The family welcomed me with so much love the room was exactly as it said. Their food and pricing is also very affordable. They family is of the local ethnicity and they gave me an up-close view in their lives and their traditional ways. I tasted their rice wine, chilli paste , traditional tea and bamboo rice and many other delicious foods. The owners and family are very helpful and if you have any questions, or want to know more of need to get to a certain part of the area they are happy to help. This family and their black dog filled my heart with so much love and gratitude. Note for for foreign travelers: They don't speak English, but do not let this scare you if you are a foreigner, translator apps are helpful if you can't understand the language.
Overall, I highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful, tranquil and family-like feeling enjoy the outdoors and nature. I will definitely be going back!

GGiulia 何俊蜓Our experience at Baike Hotel was simply great! The hotel is very very very beautiful, clean, and furnished in the local style. The view from the terrace and from our room was amazing, and very peaceful. The food was also delicious! Plus, Jason and his wife have been extremely friendly and helpful in answering to our questions, helping us and in giving us suggestions on how to tour around the area. Upon our request, Jason also helped us arrange a transfer from the Airport in Guilin to the hotel, a transfer from Ping’An to Dazhai (to do the 15km hike back), and a transfer from the hotel to our next hotel in Yangshuo. I speak some Chinese, but a plus for those foreign tourists who do not speak any Chinese is that Jason speaks a great English, so no need to worry about language barriers at all! Overall, we 100% recommend this hotel! We had a wonderful and unforgettable experience, and should we ever come back to Ping’An, we would definitely come here again!! 🤗💯💯💯

The woman in charge of the hotel made my stay exceptional. She was always checking in to see if I was ok, made delicious tea, gave me fruits and snacks before I set off on my day, and helped me arrange transportation to/from Guilin which was a huge help in low tourist season. She was checking in to see if I was ok (being a solo traveller) during the day which I really appreciated.
The quality of the rooms were fantastic - it's right beside the 9 dragon platform, the beds were comfortable, and the rooms were clean.

GGuest UserThis is the second time I have come to Longji. I lived on the edge of the Five Tigers in Kowloon last time. I didn’t climb to the mountain much. However, that one is a mountain view, that is, the room does not have terraces. Therefore, this time I want to say that I will try it in Ping'an Village. This should be an old hotel, but the sanitary landscape is first-class. Although unlike the Kowloon Five Tigers, you can take the shuttle bus to the hotel entrance, but this one will only take two minutes to get off the bus. The hotel’s food is cooked by the proprietress. The hotel’s pick-up service is the boss’s own responsibility. The bed linen and bath towels are very clean and the water is very hot. The large balcony is even more direct to the terraces, the price is super high, it is recommended. Figure 1 and 2 are taken from the balcony, super beautiful. . By the way, there are many shops on the Kowloon Five Tigers that borrow folk costumes, a set of 20 yuan, really, come here, it is still very good to borrow a set of photos.

JJulieHad an incredible stay here! The views are stunning (probably one of the best out of all the other accommodations nearby), the room was clean and the service was friendly. It's a family owned business and everyone is lovely. If you're taking a bus, it won't drop you all the way to the hotel but if you give the hotel a call, someone can come pick you up from the bus stop. I had a bit of a miscommunication with my previous hotel who arranged a coach for us that dropped us off at a very far away drop off point and someone still came and picked us up from there with no complaints (and did not charge us for it)!! We were also dropped back off at the bus stop on the day we left. No one spoke much English which made it a little harder, but we got by with a translator app. There are quite a few stairs to go up to get to the hotel which isn't great if you have lots of heavy luggage so I'd recommend packing lightly if possible. TThorstenThe name of the hostel is One Family, and that is exactly what you will get here, since the second day I found myself sitting at the table with the whole family running the place feeling sort of part of this family. On top of that, the owner is part of the local minority living in Ping'ancun, so culturally it doesn't get more authentic than this!
But what I truly want to stress is the kindness and helpfulness of the owner's son (whose name I unfortunately have forgotten). He gave me a lot of interesting insights about the history and culture of Ping'ancun, which was truly fascinating. In addition, he gave me advice about my travels, and, ultimately, I would follow his tips seeing some of the most outstanding places in China. So, if you need info and tips about a China travel itinerary, you are also at a good place here.
Lastly, the room was like being in a hut on top of a mountain. Surely not as luxurious as other hotels in the area, yet again if you look for something authentic, go here.
