The B&B is located halfway up the mountain in Dazhai. Although the facilities are not up to the level of a star hotel, they are very good considering the transportation costs. What we drink and use in Dazhai is mountain spring water. Everyone agrees that this water is very comfortable after washing your face. The rooms in the B&B with two cities and one living room are on the top floor and have a great view. It is about 900 meters away from the starting point of Longji Jinkeng Cableway. The owner's family is very nice and the food they cook is very delicious. The chicken soup is great if you eat two of them.

Before going to Longji Terraces Scenic Area, I read the comments of netizens and chose this homestay. It is really worthy of its reputation. The food is very delicious. The couple has the simplicity and ability of the Red Yao people. The hotel is not full, so they upgraded us to a family room. The view is superb! Thank you very much. I will come here to eat, stay and play next time when I have time.

The room is very big and very clean! The facilities and supplies in the house are very complete! The bedding is extremely comfortable and not damp at all! The view outside the window is stunning~! The most important thing is that the boss and an aunt at the B&B are very nice. We didn’t do any tips this time. We basically just asked the boss and the aunt. They took the trouble to answer my questions, which was very reassuring! Thank you both here! I chose a relatively niche one among the many homestays recommended by xhs, and the experience was very good! I took a taxi from Guilin to the Dazhai parking lot. The owner of the homestay sent a master to the parking lot to pick us up. We waited for about ten minutes. The boss can also help to arrange a car from the parking lot to return to Guilin city. The bus that came here asked us to buy round-trip bus tickets without buying them! We just wasted fifty yuan. We had lunch at the homestay. The two of us didn't dare to order too much. We could order braised chicken and spring water chicken in pairs. We had spring water chicken at noon and braised chicken at night. It was delicious! We also ate bamboo shoots, which were very fresh. The boss's family also gave us rice wine and freshly ground coffee, which were both delicious! You can also take pictures in the ethnic costumes provided by the homestay, and the boss will give you refined photos. It took only ten minutes to walk from the homestay to the Jinkeng Dazhai Thousand-Layer Ladder and Xishan Shaole, which is very convenient! When I was having dinner, I felt so warm to see the boss's family eating too, hahahahaha! The hotel also has an outdoor swimming pool. It's a bit cold today and there are not many people. It looks very good~

Perfect hotel. The view from the bedroom is so good that you don't even feel like you need to leave the hotel. The food at the restaurant is also great and at a good price. They don't know how to speak english but they always tried to help with everything they could and we were able to communicate through translation apps.
We booked transfers from guilin to the hotel and from the hotel to Yangshuo and everything went very smoothly (and a lot cheaper than we would get anywhere else).
The breakfast is only chinese and rather small, but very tasty!
We recommend this hotel to anyone going to this area.

p5.6 is the No. 1 observation deck, super close to the hotel, and I personally think that the three observation decks are the best. The costumes provided by the hotel are here, and there are many clothing options.
p8 is the top of the thousand Buddha, a bit far from the hotel, it takes about 15 minutes to drive, but the boss picks us up there for free! Really super enthusiastic boss!

I found this B&B online. Thanks to the owner for upgrading the room. The scenery is so beautiful. I can't get enough of the fried bamboo shoots. The bamboo tube chicken and bamboo tube rice are especially fresh and sweet. I will come to your home again if I have the chance. Before leaving, I also brought some monk fruit grown by the owner to drink in water. It's cheaper than what is sold outside. It's mainly for peace of mind. I'd like to add that our luggage is quite heavy. The owner's mother carried it on her back when we came and went. I was very touched. Don't miss this home if you want to come.

We had a bad start as there was no one to check us in despite arriving at 3:00pm, but they apologized and made it up to us. The lady who runs the place and her two dogs were very friendly.
Really bad weather in Ping’an village (Nov 13-14), luckily the room was beautiful and comfortable. It was pity we couldn’t enjoy the views from our balcony because of the fog. The bathroom was a highlight, better than the ones we had in 4* hotels all over China.
One thing we did notice is that there was no table inside the room as the pictures had you believe. We did have a table in the balcony, but not inside the room, so we couldn’t use it as it was really really cold outside. The internet was fine, could do some work from my room.
**On a side note, if you plan to get here from Guilin using public transportation you should think twice. We took the bus from Qintan station to Longshen at 10:00am and ended up arriving at the hotel until 3:00pm as we didn’t catch the connecting bus to Ping’An. The bus also makes a lot stops so it’s not time efficient. It was cheap though, and people at both stations were super friendly and eager to lead us to the right bus.

We chose to stay at Baike over a Sunday and Monday night at Ping An Village in the Longji because we saw that it was one of the top rated small hotels in China. It was also conveniently located at a short walk away from the Ping An parking lot. We were not disappointed.
The service was above and beyond. The owner, Jason personally came down to greet us at the parking lot and hauled our luggages up to the hotel. Jason speaks English and is quick to respond to any information or special requests. He helped us arrange a detour to a traditional dance performance for our trip back to Guilin.
One look at the place and we could tell no expenses were spared to keep all the facilities and equipment in top-notch condition. From the AC, the windows, the mosquito screens, and bathroom were in emacculate condition. Not a speck of dust, not one!
For a relaxing, carefree stay at Ping An Village, we believe this is hands down the best hotel.

It’s only 4 kilometers away from the expressway, so it’s a good place to take a night’s rest on the way back home. The hotel is built in the middle of the mountain. The deluxe twin rooms are on the first floor. The hotel upgrades to the second floor for free. The room is very spacious, clean and hygienic, and the hot water is great. High praise! The view room with balcony is on the front side of the hotel, and the view will be much wider. Personally, I think that although the room at the back of the mountain does not have a balcony, it is very quiet and comfortable to sleep in. I forgot to take photos. The night view of Longsheng County is very beautiful and suitable for walking along the river.

WWei jWell located homestay, with just about 15 mins of walking distance to the “Seven Stars with Moon” viewing platform. Free transportation service was provided from the Ping’an entrance but there’s still a 10mins climb to reach the homestay so try to avoid bringing big luggage. The room was clean and cozy, beautifully decorated, and the view from the balcony was spectacular. Food served was delicious, with a variety of authentic local cuisines. A huge shout out to the incredibly accommodating owner, who even helped us to find the way back when we got lost in the village. Overall, it was a fantastic stay with great access, comfortable accommodations, friendly owner, and excellent dining options. Highly recommended!

Sshanda lim-uyWe took special bus from Yangshuo straight to Dazhai, then the owner had someone fetch us from DaZhai parking lot and drove a few minutes to the parking lot nearest their hotel. How did we book and organize this? We simply contacted the hotel via WeChat and they helped arrange everything for us.
15min hike, and we are in the hotel. No elevator, but there was a cable car that carried our stuff up to the mountain. The room was fantastic, the location was superb, the food was good. Even if you do not leave the hotel and just stayed inside the room, you'll have a fantastic time.
Water is from spring so it's fresh and potable. You can wash your clothes for free but depending on the season, it may take a long time to dry. They don't have dryer and we could only hang our clothes.
View from the room is good, and going up to the viewing platform only takes around 6 minutes.

GGuest UserBeautiful boutique hotel in Dazhai. One of the newest hotel in the area. Book a corner room with a panoramic view of the rice terraces. Relax in their cozy chair and watch the clouds roll in and your cares and worries roll out. Experience warm hospitality from the service staff especially from a young female staff surnamed 黄. The hotel was packed with noisy children due to summer school holidays but she always have a smile on her face . Dinner is ala carte. Remember to book early as the kitchen staff struggles to cope if the hotel is full. Our room was big and comfortable with a bath tub out on the balcony with a retractable roof. Only negative point is there is no lift. People with walking issues may struggle up the spiral stairs . The staff help you with your luggage . Overall an excellent hotel with wonderful hospitable staff. Highly recommended.

Facilities and environment: The room is very large and you can see the terraced fields from the window. The higher you live, the less obstruction. Smart toilet and shower (there are also rooms with bathtubs), large water and stable temperature, and there is a sweat steaming room in the room. Although we didn't use it, it is indeed rare. There is a dedicated parking area, and it is a few minutes' walk to the homestay.
Services and catering:
Because it is on the mountain, there is a free shuttle bus. The boss and his family are very warm and friendly. There is no elevator, but they will help with luggage. Coffee and tea are provided, and breakfast includes some simple staple foods such as soy milk, as well as freshly made rice noodles and cakes. The dishes are also delicious and reasonably priced. Spring water chicken and bamboo chicken are recommended. The rice wine is sweet and delicious. I ate several meals here.
The homestay is not far from the Thousand-Layer Ladder of the No. 2 Observation Deck and the No. 1 Observation Deck Xishan Shaoyue, but it is very far from the No. 3 Golden Buddha Peak.
Based on this accommodation experience, the following itinerary is recommended for non-self-driving tourists:
①Take a tourist bus to Jinkeng Dazhai Visitor Center in the morning. We arrived in about 2.5-3 hours from Guilin Station.
②Find a store to store your luggage at the visitor center, buy a cable car ticket to go up the mountain to Jinfoding, walk down one way by yourself, or take the cable car directly back and forth.
③Return to Jinkeng Visitor Center to contact the owner to pick you up at the homestay (you can contact the owner on the mountain, and it takes some time to dispatch the car)
④The next day, walk to the Thousand-Layered Ladder and Xishan Shaoyue (you can also play one of them if you have time early the day before)
⑤Take the bus back to Guilin or go to other places in the afternoon.
PS: Self-driving is more convenient and free in terms of travel, but the road in the scenic area really tests driving skills. Don't try it if you are not confident in your driving skills.

GGuest UserBooked a parent-child and double room. The hotel is located in Jinkeng Terraces, with view decks 1.2 on the left and 3 on the right. There are rice fields right outside the door. There is a stream a few steps down from the hotel. It is very parent-child friendly! The hotel is hygienic and clean, and the food in the store is delicious. Auntie Fa is very nice and the boss is very enthusiastic. The luggage is sent directly to the hotel. The car is parked at the foot of the hotel and it takes five minutes to walk to the hotel. There are stone steps on the mountain road and there is a road. It is full of childhood memories and I saw many plants that I saw when I was a child. Worth recommending^^

GGuest UserThe hotel is situated really nice in the village and the view from the room is good, it is possible to see the rice terraces; the only downside is the tree blocking partly the view on the terraces.
The village itself is very quiet, many hotels/restaurants closed down during/after covid, and it was really different compared to the vibrant life we saw back in 2017 when we also visited this village.
The room was basic but really nice and clean and the bed comfortable.
The owners do not speak English, but were super friendly and helpful. They arranged transfers from/to the airport, were happy to give us tips about the surroundings and made sure we always had enough hot&cold drinking water.
The dinner (which you can buy from the menu) was ok, but there are better restaurants in town.
The free breakfast was very simple.
All in all we had a nice stay at this hotel.

Mmgl3688The store has complete facilities, but there was no hot water supply around 9pm. I took a cold shower and asked the host if there were too many people using hot water at the same time. It would be better if it was later. Everything else was very good. The main reason was that the price was reasonable!

JJulieHad an incredible stay here! The views are stunning (probably one of the best out of all the other accommodations nearby), the room was clean and the service was friendly. It's a family owned business and everyone is lovely. If you're taking a bus, it won't drop you all the way to the hotel but if you give the hotel a call, someone can come pick you up from the bus stop. I had a bit of a miscommunication with my previous hotel who arranged a coach for us that dropped us off at a very far away drop off point and someone still came and picked us up from there with no complaints (and did not charge us for it)!! We were also dropped back off at the bus stop on the day we left. No one spoke much English which made it a little harder, but we got by with a translator app. There are quite a few stairs to go up to get to the hotel which isn't great if you have lots of heavy luggage so I'd recommend packing lightly if possible. Having said that, if you have average fitness, you should be fine getting up and down the stairs, the trek is not too long. The views are definitely worth it! Would stay again for sure.

GGuest UserAs a family with a little kid we spent one night here! Pick up from the parking lot, including a carrier for our suitcase were easy to organise. The host speaks some English and communication via WeCaht was quick. The view from the hotel and the room were magnificent! The family served excellent dinner and we recommend trying their specialties! Had a great stay in a very relaxing and calm environment!
