Rundown, dirty, uncomfortable. Not worth it. Breakfast was run of the mill. Lots of parking. Do not recommend at all. Bed was sacked out. Hallway was very noisy. Lady at the front desk was very nice... that was the only good part. Property needs some TLC, a deep cleaning and some updating.

Uncleanliness of the shower was a sore way to begin our stay. The shower was a den of DNA. Both the shower and sink drains wet backed up and drained slowly. I requested drainO but they plugged the sink instead. Had to get new towels from the Lobby

The joke became "Cape Disappointment!" ...as one thing after another was just way off about our experience at Adrift. Was really looking forward to a 3 night stay with kid and partner, and a few big things disappointed us, making me really frustrated to have paid so much, for so little. 1) Too loud. Our suite was in the west wing, and we could hear other guests clomping up and down the stairs, and in the hallway all day long, until it finally quieted down at about 11:30. The bedroom wall is against the stairs, so especially loud there. Also, the entire hotel is surrounded by parking lot, and on the main access road to the beach - tons of traffic and car activity. 2) Poor sofa bed mattress. There are a lot of great, suitable, even comfortable options for pull-outs these days ...this was like the one you dread at your cousins house from way back in the day. We needed it, and it was terrible. Fair to assume folks need that 2nd bed in a suite - and it should be decent. 3) Restaurant was not great. Had dinner there one night, mediocre. Tried for the weekend brunch and got turned away as kitchen was short staffed. Staffing is hard right now ...but hotel has an obligation to communicate these things. Seemed like there was a lack in good management. Was really hoping to eat and drink there more. ...and several other small disappointments that added up to this place just isn't for us. Hotel is generally a bit funky - like a false veneer was painted over an old worn out hotel. It isn't quaint. It felt like I'd been duped a bit. Not as nice as the photos. And, I'm not a luxury person ...just an average person who expects decent value for the expense.

We should have known something was wrong when our room had over 8 pairs of foam ear plugs. If you do not want a good nights sleep, then stay here. It is loud, you can hear people below, above and to the side of you. No A/C so you must sleep with the windows open. Downside to this is you hear everything from the parking lot as well. Not a great view of the ocean and the room was well used, dents, things broken and upholstery was ripped. For the price of 346 bucks, not worth it at all.

This hotel sold us on the great views and proximity to the trail in Long Beach for cycling and walking. I believe that it was a bit oversold. We stayed for two nights and found housekeeping lacking, items were not replenished, and even dirty dishes were not removed from our room for the second night. I feel like at this price point we should have gotten better service. There is a faucet in the shower that was very difficult to use and so I couldn’t regulate the hot and cold very well. The pool area is small and we did not use the spa. Just another note, we stayed at the Inn and there is no elevator so we ended up hiking up three flights of stairs.

We had a microwedding at Adrift/Inn at Discovery Coast/Pickled Fish. It was perfect and Annie and crew made it just what we wanted from start to finish! We stayed at the Inn with our guests staying at Adrift and our celebration dinner was at Pickled Dish. We got married right in front of the Inn!

Adrift is a nice little hotel right on the ocean with lovely views. Very quiet. Comfortable beds. Don't skip the sauna, it's the best! Walk the Boardwalk, the beach or Discovery Trail from your room.

Pro: nice view of ocean, easy beach access, clean room, dogs allowed, staff smiles Con: noisy, hotel policies not enforced or staff not trained well how to operate their systems. I couldn't understand why it hit 3/4 stars prior to stay as I had had pleasant experiences in dining & spa services in past. After staying there in hotel I get it. Outside appearance is pleasant but it's not a relaxing place if you are trying to to escape kids and/or noise. Rooms are pretty bare bones. There's no in room phone. They have you use your cellphone. You can cast TV apps but basic cable. But tv won't drown out gaming area noise or restaurant noise if band playing. After hour quiet times are not enforced. Kids were in pool area long after 9pm. Advice: don't stay on 2nd floor or book a king bed room. All of those rooms have huge noise issues. Spent money on cozy package was wasted due to room location & noise. Hotel provided ear plugs don't help with noise when it's right outside your door or window.
