West Wind, cabin with breathtaking vieuws

The property was gorgeous and with breathtaking views. A wonderful open layout made you feel right in the nature with luxurious comfort. The cabin is secluded enough to enjoy a quiet night but conveniently close enough to town and many other beautiful places. The host was very easy to communicate with and made everything extremely simple. 10/10 would recommend and will return again

Very cool spot - Amazing views of the Eastern Sierra and the Whitney portal. Host is a very good communicator and the place was super clean. Nice comfy bed with linen bedding. The design of the space is contemporary with a nice dose of funk to make it feel super relaxed. Wish we had more time I think this is a two to three day minimum stay to see all the environs. We arrived late and found pasta, olive oil, garlic for a tasty late night dinner on the deck under the stars. Super tasty coffee was provided before heading to Lone Pine and the Alabama Hills Cafe for breakfast. Already planning a next trip to Lone Pine and West Wind, just hope the outside tub will be functioning next trip.

This property and views are amazing!! Had couple questions and host was very responsive. Spacious and comfortable inside and out. Highly recommended!

The views were awesome and the location to hiking and sightseeing was very convenient. The rental was comfortable and quiet. The kitchen was well furnished…a small microwave would be handy. The house was clean and the decor was very cool. I was a very western vibe. The outside tub was enjoyable and star watching was great from the deck. Water pressure was a bit up and down and took a few minutes to warm up when showering. Not a big deal but noticeable. I would recommend to a friend for sure.

Great place to stay, wish we could’ve stayed longer. Beautiful mountain views along with numerous rock outcroppings adjacent to the property and surrounding area. Loved how the home builder designed the house; has a very rustic artistic elegance to it. Lots of area to walk your pets in neighboring areas/roads with lots to see. We would stay here again.

The property is GORGEOUS. My husband and I got married in Alabama hills and he and my family and I rented both the east and west wind properties. The location is beautiful and the outdoor bathtubs are worth the stay alone. My only change would be to fully enclose the toilet in the west wind and put up glass in the shower to keep in the steam/heat. Even then, it’s still an amazing property.

West Wind certainly DID take our breath away!! Our 4-night stay there went way too fast and "tasted like more!" The views outside from every direction were spectacular and there was so much to see in the area. The inside layout was stunning and spacious! Lone Pine is an "unreal real." Sipping coffee while watching "horse zoomies" across the road was a highlight! Joost, the host, was so friendly and accommodating. We'd go back in a heartbeat!! This place has such amazing rock features, including a rock tub outside, which we enjoyed while watching the sunsets. West Wind and Joost ROCK!! Thank you for sharing your dream with us!!

great location Great location. My wife and I enjoyed the location, perfect to take you road bike out and climb the big climbs. Sandwiched in between mt. whitney and horseshoe meadow. Short drive to Onion valley and white mountains. If you want the hard climbs this is the place to stay. Make sure you drive down tuttle road, its pretty nifty. Movie road is a great place to take in the scenery. Plenty of hiking trails in the area also. The house was nice. Very open to everything. No door on bathroom or shower, you have to be close with the other person in the room. Overall I would come back.
