Everglades Hotel

The hotel isn't too close to the city centre, but all very nice.service was impeccable, one complaint hot breakfast was not nice, coffee machine had no beans and orange juice bar had no glasses. All easily rectified but breakfast should have been much nicer! Will return without a foubt!

Everything good until breakfast would you believe I asked for 2 fried eggs for my breakfast and was refused and told there was scrambled or poached in the buffet so much for the Ulster fry

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Everglades Hotel. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Our room was well appointed and comfortable. The food was of a high standard. I would highly recommend the hotel to potential visitors

A great location for Derry/Londonderry, with ample parking. Friendly staff and good food, library bar and grill restaurant have the same menu. My room was a refurbished room (ground floor) which was much better than a room I had the week before which was dated (2nd Floor). Although amenities are limited I enjoyed my stay here.

We had a lovely stay. We went to a Motown show which was great. The room was lovely, everything we needed and the food and service was excellent. The receptionist on arrival was very welcoming. The pianist in the foyer was also a nice touch. Overall a very pleasant experience and we would stay again.

I had a wonderful one-night stay at the Everglades Hotel as part of my Irish Adventure tour run by CIE Tours (you can read my review of the amazing Irish Adventure tour on CIE’s TripAdvisor page). I would happily stay at this hotel again and recommend it to anyone visiting Derry. One quick note on location: it is not within the downtown or walled city area, but it’s just a short taxi ride to all the action. All hotel staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and the hotel is clearly well staffed. I stayed in a lovely ground-floor room with a view of a busy road. The view wasn’t anything special, but that was perfectly fine, as I was mainly using the room for sleeping. The room was packed with amenities. In addition to the standard toiletries (soap, shampoo, and lotion), the Everglades Hotel provides a fan, complimentary water bottles, biscuits, coffee, and an assortment of teas. The toiletries smelled wonderful. The space itself was beautifully designed with modern, spa-like decor. There were more shelves, drawers, hooks, and surfaces than I could possibly use. I especially appreciated the variety of seating and lighting options, along with a generous number of outlets. A large television with local channels added a nice touch. I enjoyed getting a glimpse of local programming as a visitor. Seating included a bench, desk chair, and armchair, making the room feel both functional and comfortable. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, and the blackout shade completely blocked outdoor light, creating ideal sleeping conditions. I’m a very light sleeper, and with my white noise machine on, I didn’t hear any outside, hallway, or neighboring room noise. The bathroom featured a small shower and no tub, but it had excellent water pressure and consistent hot water, which is everything I needed to get clean. The room was spotless. I found no mold, dust, bugs, hairs, or leftover items from previous guests. The hotel’s restaurant and pub were both cozy and classy, and the food was delicious traditional Irish cuisine. Overall, I had a great stay. Well done, Everglades Hotel!

This hotel is situated across the river and about a 25 minute walk into Derry central. It is extremely well appointed with a well stocked bar and restaurant where we enjoyed dinner and breakfast (probably the best fish and chips throughout Ireland). The beds are very comfortable and everything was clean. We were only sorry to stay for one night - it was so enloyable!
