Wouldn't let me cancel even though I showed proof of illness, poor customer service.

I stayed here at the end of July and, for what I needed, the Travelodge London Wood Green worked rather well. It’s not somewhere I’d choose if my main aim was to be in the middle of central London, but if you’re visiting North London – or simply don’t mind a 20–30 minute tube ride into the centre – it makes a lot of sense. The location is very practical. Public transport is an easy walk away, and there are shops, pubs and Alexandra Park nearby. There’s also a supermarket just across the road, only a very short walk away – handy for picking up a meal deal or a few bits and pieces. If places such as Highgate Cemetery are on your list, you’re also well placed for exploring this part of London. My room was perfectly straightforward, but one thing I particularly appreciated was the soundproofing. London can be a noisy place, so good windows make a difference. There’s also proper air conditioning rather than just a fan, which was very welcome during my July stay. One thing to be aware of: there’s no restaurant at the hotel. I had breakfast at a local pub instead, which actually worked out rather nicely. For me, the attraction is really the price. I was happy to stay a little further out and commute into central London rather than pay central London hotel prices. If you’re happy with that trade-off, this is a simple, practical base with good transport links and plenty of useful things nearby.

The difference in a hotel is the staff. In this case Travelodge landed on their feet. Greeted warmly at reception, all the details were checked in a friendly and fun manner. It was more like a good chat, and before I knew it I had the key to my room for the night all sorted. Room was prepared and tidy, with good space to move around and layout my bag. Considering the hotel is next to the main road, the outside noise was minimal and hardly any noise within the hotel either. I didn't use the food options offered, however do recommend a local business Charlies, across the road.

Fantastic location for shops and Cinema. The hotel has a fantastic atmosphere the brilliant staff team provide a safe and inclusive service. My room was great and quiet even though it was next to the main road. Great value in my opinion. Very clean in my room anyway. 10/10....... thankyou so much..... I will be back soon ... loved it .... love you wood green Travelodge........
