Tavistock Hotel

We stayed here for 4 nights and 5 days! It was spacious enough for two people. We could spread out our large carry-ons for two people, and there were drawers and clothes hangers, so it was easy to stay for a few nights. It was clean and comfortable because the room was cleaned and towels were changed every day. There was no outlet by the pillow, but there were two USB ports and two C-type sockets, so we didn't have much trouble charging our smartphones when we went to bed. The TV in the room we used was able to watch YouTube and Netflix. Although you need to log in to your account for each, you could enjoy programs other than the local terrestrial broadcast. There was also 100% vegan hand soap and body soap, and it seemed like they had taken great care with the details. It was also possible to leave luggage after checking out. This time, we checked in at night, so we are not sure if it is possible to leave it before check-in, but it is probably possible. There are several nearby stations, but each is about a 10-minute walk away. There is an elevator at the station, but if you have a heavy carry-on, you may want to take a taxi. Other than the weak water pressure in the shower and the creaking hallway, there were no particular issues!

The rooms and services are very good, but the street is a bit noisy; the breakfast is rich. The waiters are very friendly! I will stay here again next time I come!

Tavistock Hotel is located in the downtown area (Figures 8 and 9). It has a high overall cost-effectiveness and is worth recommending for the following reasons: 1. Convenient transportation, with bus stops, subway stations and train stations nearby (Figure 1); 2. Beautiful environment, with Tavistock Square Garden across the road (Figure 2); 3. The lobby and restaurant in the hotel are spacious and bright (Figures 3 and 4); 4. The room is not large, but it is well lit and reasonably laid out. Although there is no air conditioning, the hotel is thoughtful and equips each bed with an electric fan. In fact, even if you stay in the summer, it is only turned on during the day and you don’t need an electric fan at night (Figures 5 and 6); 5. Responsible work, there is cleaning service every day, especially this female cleaner, who is enthusiastic and satisfactory to the guests, so the guests asked her to write down her name, which is worthy of praise (Figure 7); 6. Convenient consumption, with restaurants and supermarkets nearby. A little flaw is that the faucet of the wash basin is too close to the edge of the basin, which easily wets the wash basin.

The staff were very kind and communicated with me even though the movie was poorly done. The location is good, but the building is old and there is no air conditioning. The windows are open so large insects come out, spiders walk in the bathroom, and the drainage is poor. That's the case all over London.
