Good location near bus/trains. Smugglers Way is quieter than you might think it would be. I asked for an accessible room and my room was on the ground floor, and it had a shower wet room. The shower was not very powerful but it was adequate. The room was clean and the air con worked well (needed in the heatwave). I would say everything was good except the price (155) and the 'free' breakfast. The breakfast was a complete free-for-all with people all over the place and no signage (would help if people queued in one direction I think). 2 of the 4 hot items were empty (no bacon or scrambled egg); we were told a 20 minute wait for more croissants, there were no pastries left and at one point they even ran out of bread. This was at 9am so not at the end of breakfast service. I wanted porridge and it wasn't clear that this was an item you had to ask for, there was no-one to ask anyway! It would have been good if a member of staff was on hand in the breakfast area to refill and advise customers. There was one member of staff trying to clear all the tables and she was being asked lots of questions and ”clear this table now” by impolite customers. You could not sit at an empty clean table because she was so overstretched. She was clearly doing her best and staying polite and helpful. As I checked out someone was ranting about the breakfast to the staff so they were also unhappy with it. It is the worst breakfast I've ever had in a hotel and I have stayed in a good number of them! I have been bitten by an insect/flea or something on my foot and I was wearing socks at all times except in the hotel room so I can only assume it was something in the room? I understand they do let pets in this hotel so I'm hoping it's not bed bugs!

If you're looking for a hotel to visit London, this is not the one. To give you an idea : Piccadilly Circus is about 1.5 hours to walk and about 45 minutes by taxi (expensive) and, if you're lucky, about the same by public transport (a mixture of walking, bus and tube... and a pain!) That said, if you need a hotel in this particlar area – which is actually nearer to Fulham than Sloane Square, then you could do much worse. The welcome was genuinely warm and we were made to feel appreciated. Despite checking in the previous day via the Hilton app., no room could be allocated, so we had to check in again at the front desk. The check in staff was charming and efficient and her trainee status was not evident. Our 6th floor room, well away from the renovation noise on the 1st floor felt, however, like a downgrade from the 'Queen' room we'd booked, as it had a double bed in it (150cm) – like Hampton Inns, which Hilton class as 2 categories below Doubletree. For Diamond members – who can expect room upgrades “up to a one bedroom suite” - this could be a disappointment. Queen beds are usually 160cm, doubles 150cm. If this hotel is selling doubles as queens, then I personally think this is a bit naughty of them. Also, despite the hotel stating that their 1st floor renovation work does not start before 9 a.m., they do not mention that the massive building project which half-encircles the hotel, starts well before this time and is constant throughout the day and, by the look of things, is destined to last for a long time yet. The room was clean, the bed comfortable although narrow and, apart from a few stains, the room was adequat for a one or two night stay. I wouldn't like to stay longer, as the bathroom is even smaller than a Hampton Inn – there's nowhere to put a toilet bag and nowhere to hang used towels. The shower unit is the same style as in Hamptons but much smaller than most. The toilet seat was loose and so was 'interesting' when using it, several plug sockets in the room did not work and the a/c and TV turned themseves off several times during our stay. Otherwise the room was well designed, with enough mirrors, work surface, chair, safe etc. and fridge that gets things cold enough – if you are willing to wait about 18 hours, that is! Don't expect a good sleep – the doors are not sound-proofed and are paper-thin. Room doors are also constantly 'banging' shut due to the spring mechanism. The lobby bar is well stocked but has slighly frightening prices. We didn't try the restaurant – choosing a Middle-Eastern restaurant 5 minutes' walk away – but the food we saw looked to be well-presented and seemed to be of the fast food type. The breakfast was, to be totally frank, extremely disappointing. The quality was good but the choice was extremely poor for a Doubletree and, in comparison to the maybe 30 or 40 Doubletrees I've stayed in, is by far the worst breakfast 'spread' I've seen to date. No ham, no smoked salmon, not even any utensils for the

The worst hotel stay I have experienced! Arrived after a hectic day at work only to be greeted by the rudest receptionist I have ever encountered. I travel and stay in London on a weekly basis and have never experienced customer service like it. Receptionist was agrresive in attitude and demanded a cash payment of £100 on entering the hotel. I explained I had paid in adance in full via booking.com with no notification at time of booking that a deposit would be required. Rudely demanded of photo ID and notified a charge of £250 would be taken for evidence of drug use. I am a professional business customer and this was so poorly judged by staff. I was told I was emailed on booking that cash deposit of £100 would be demanded on booking 2 weeks prior. Communication was provided on the day at 9.00am via booking.com email and was not seen due to being at work. Was told I should walk to a cash point in the rain with little direction as to where the nearest cash point was. It was pouring with rain, getting dark and I was a lone female customer. Receptionist replied that she was happy to cancel my booking if I preferred . The day of the queen's return to buckingham Palace with no chance of securing an alternative hotel. After returning with the cash I was given a key card with no holder with room number on. I made my way to my room after clarifying room number twice, staff area doors in corridors left open exposing dirty laundry, key card device broken off door, semen stains on wall, public hair on top of bed sheets. Mortified, so much so I didn't get under the sheets for fear of what I would find. Tried to have a wash to find the shower gel had been topped up 3 quarters with water from a previous guest. Worst stay of my life!!! Unsafe and should be closed down!!

The Copthorne and Millennium hotel is situated in Chelsea right by the side of Chelsea Football Club. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, so booking in was easy. The room was very clean and well decorated. It came with dressing gowns, temporary slippers, toothbrushes and paste, water, tea and coffee. The bedding was comfortable, both duvet and pillows. The room also had television, air conditioning, refrigerator and a safe. Charging points were also available. The en-suite bathroom and toilet was again, modern in design and very clean With the windows open some traffic noise can be heard. The breakfast menu was extensive with something for everyone. It’s self service buffet and the food was well presented. The staff too were friendly and efficient. The hotel also has a selection of bars.

Visited for business reasons - the hotel inside is absolutely immaculate, very comfortable and excellent rooms. Breakfast was delicious and a good spread. The location isn't excellent and from the outside it doesn't look that impressive but overall I can't fault it. Would definitely stay again!

As a 4 star hotel the rooms should have basic things like water and bathroom amenities. However, the barnaby restaurant had great food. I was served by a lovely lady called Noura who looked after me and my family. She always recommended us the best dishes and was quick to meet our needs.

My partner and I booked a room here to attend a concert at the RAH, and spend a little time in London (the usual touristy things). Checking in was OK; we did request early check-in (partner is an IHG member) but it wasn't possible on the day. Our bags were kindly kept in a locked conference room for us however, so we could nip out for refreshments after our travel and not have to worry about toting the suitcase about. After coming back and checking in, the room we received was pretty dark (pictures attached were taken during daylight). The only decent lighting was in the bathroom; the tea station/mirror had a small feature-light above it, same goes with the sofa, but there was no 'main light' in the room. Confusingly, there was a blue light for the bathroom that highlighted the glass panels (?). It didn't matter too much to us as we'd spent most of the day out and about but in the evening when we wanted to relax, I couldn't read a book or do anything that didn't require a bright screen like the telly or our phones. One of our key-cards stopped working after a trip out. Thankfully I'd brought the second one along! One of the hotel staff said that they can lose their power after being kept next to a phone - it was fixed straight away and we were more careful from then on, but might be worth letting guests know at check-in. We had breakfast both days which is laid out in a buffet - it was OK, and there's plenty of choice. Pluses; the shower was lovely, very powerful - and the mattress was just how I like it, so I've had a couple of good nights' sleep. Housekeeping kept the room nice and clean. The curtains are blackout, so you're not going to be bothered by light creeping in. The staff were lovely and are happy to provide complimentary toiletries if you've forgotten your toothbrush or facecloth - and, like I said, they kindly kept hold of our bag for us until we could check in properly, which was much welcome after a long travel. You're about 10 mins walk from the Tube; only a couple of stops away from the big museums and we could walk to the RAH easily (just under 2 miles). Might I recommend the Simya Korean restaurant if you like fried chicken; it's only 5 mins walk up the road and it was a superb evening meal. You're also near a Tesco Express and Costa, Starbucks, etc. All in all - it's affordable, the folks are nice, and it's somewhere secure to rest if you've got busy days in London ahead, but 'average' does describe it.

I am CEO - Founder of a tour operator business and I travel a lot. I stayed at this hotel for a business event and I can honestly say that I was not satisfied for the following reasons: . Clean hotel but in need of a refurb. The 80's style is outdated . The pool and spa have not yet been reopened since the Covid period . The team in the breakfast room is not friendly at all. Rude staff, they asked me my room number and after I told them this they asked me ”Have you ever been here” A question that reveals suspicion, lack of professionalism and kindness . Finally, the hotel is located near Battersea Park but the underground station takes about 20 minutes on foot to reach it (even if there are buses nearby) it is not at all comfortable to have a hotel so far from the underground station. Getting around London with the underground is essential Final exhortation: book your leisure and business travel elsewhere in London. There are much better hotels with excellent value for money

The room was bright and clean. Mattresses comfortable. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Jermaine who went out of his way to be helpful and kind we felt looked after. I would definitely stay here again, the area was good for shopping and eating and getting around. A quick easy walk to the boat or underground. Didn’t use restaurants so can’t comment on those. Pool has amazing views and slightly surreal being up there in the dark! It was good that there was a small section of the room fridge which we could put our sandwiches in. Only criticism on rooms were……… 1)Cups for tea in the rooms were like dolls tea cups!! Maybe they could be at least a small mug??? 2)We did think it was weird that you only get bottled water on the first night and not successive ones if you were staying longer. Why?

Outstanding
MMaha AlshihaOur stay here was wonderful! The room was spacious, clean, had wide windows with a beautiful view from two sides with blinders that we can close at night.. the service was great, the food was good as well and the Thai restaurant at floor 1 was delicious! I love everything here and I would definitely visit again
HHelenI was lucky enough to be able to check in early at midday and make extra use of the spa facilities, which was great. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was extremely clean. Breakfast was fantastic - one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. Great location for attending events at the O2, especially with the covered walk way to the arena, direct from the hotel. The pool area of the spa is nice but looking slightly tired in places (one of the sets of steps into the pool was broken) and my room was well equipped (with an amazing river view from the 14th floor) but a little characterless. But over all it was very good. I'd stay again!
GGuest UserStay was great until I found out they took money from my bank for breakfast I didn’t take. I stated at check-in I didn’t want breakfast as I was at work early the following day.
I called the hotel for a refund, only to be told I need to send an email to the manager and they would check the cctv to ensure I didn’t attend breakfast.
GGuest UserJust leaving Holiday Inn Sutton and have had a truly wonderful stay. This hotel was used as a base for exploring London and surrounding areas and can't recommend highly enough. Ok we're not talking 5 star luxury, but if you're looking for that common sense should tell you to book elsewhere. However if you're looking for CLEAN (so important) and comfort with EXCELLENT staff then this will be for you! Staff are honestly some of the best I've encountered (even in 5 star hotels) and I don't say that lightly. Restaurant, front desk, housekeeping, health club all an absolute credit to the hotel and brand. Thank you. Nothing was to much trouble and you made our stay really great. It's the morning and evening acknowledements and friendly vibe and all the little touches that really do go a long way. We'll be back and would highly recommend this hotel and if there's a way to reward staff on duty 27th-29th August 2022 please do :)
HHONGBINHotel location is slightly off, but still good. There are many places to eat around, especially the two Italian restaurants are delicious and the price is cheap. The hotel breakfast is very good, the conjoined bar in the lobby is very stylish and can watch the game, very good. The price/performance ratio is relatively high in this area, that is, the bed is too soft and uncomfortable.
GGuest UserOnce inside very pleasant. The Pods make it super convenient for accessing T5P Room was very clean and had full coffee making facilities and nespresso pods and biscuits as well as water. Surprisingly dark and quiet even though it's next to the airport. Also easy access on foot to open country.
GGuest UserWe use Royal National each time we visit London which can be a few times a year, in the beginning for location, (its a 5 min walk from Russell Square tube station, 10 mins from the British museum and 15 mins from Oxford Street) but now for its cleanliness and friendliness of the staff, this time we had a complimentary upgrade into a fresh new updated room, the beds are always comfortable and the room is always extremely clean nothing is a problem for the cleaning team and extras such as tea milk etc is always provided as soon as requested. The onsite pub is also a plus offering meals aswell as an outdoor seating area with large screen tv this time showing the euro matches, it wasnt loud or rowdy and being at the back of the hotel we heard nothing. We will continue to use the hotel for each visit we make to London.
GGuest UserWe stayed 3 nights here, first night the rooms were wrong, after going to reception the ignorant woman behind reception was no help. Her male colleague changed the rooms on day 2. All 4 rooms were dumps, not fit for 1 star. Our room in the basement was directly above the tube line, you could hear it travelling every few minutes. Health and safety doesn't exist here. Breakfast is basic, no hot food and the milk was sour and stored in a flask. Everywhere except reception is filthy. The bar was closed for 2 of the 3 days we spent here as the barman did not turn up for work and nobody else was authorised to open the bar including the manager. 10 pounds charge to store your luggage while you wait to get checked in!!! While passing through reception at various times we heard at least 6 people complaining about the rooms they had been allocated. Nothing matches the photos online. Windows unlockable, safes not working, corroded tap in the ”newly refurbished bathroom”, showers blocked. Well over priced for what it is. This place is not a hotel!! Unfortunately 0 stars is not an option.
GGuest UserI actually really liked the stay here. Simple, classy, hub hotel room. Amazing central London location. Steps away from tube station, we visited tourist sites in the area. Great for our city weekend break. The beds are superbly comfortable. I travelled solo ALOT for work, so I know what I like or not about hotel rooms. On this occasion I was traveling with my 3 kids, and the absence of TV meant they slept undistracted. The absence of carpeted floors, decorative pillows and bed runners, (that I suspect are rarely washed in other hotels) was perfect, as it means I didn't have to make sure my kids weren't touching any unclean fabric items. We were out for majority of our stay. So the lack of view/windows, wasn't any concern. No breakfast option, but we grabbed fruit for breakfast from Tesco express nearby. There is a 24hour cafe & bar next door, that is good option too. If you know what you're booking and what to expect, you won't be claustrophobic, instead you'll be pleasantly surprised. Reception team member is my reason for leaving a review though - he comp'd our left luggage :) I hope if Zedwell family see this they compliment his action, because he's gained you return custom and extra revenue, as I'll now book again due to how thoughtful and personable his service was towards my family, thank you. I've misplaced where I noted his name, Sherif(?) [Tall, young, South Asian origin]. Looking forward to our next stay at Zedwell
JJames BladesGreat stay, during the Christmas period. Short term booking notice was very convenient for me, easy check in and very comfortable suite. Felt like a home away from him.
Pros:
- Polite and happy to help staff
- Right in the middle of Hammersmith, 5 minute walk from the station or the high street with shopping malls and a variety of shops
- Nice, gated rock table garden with ashtrays out the front
- Executive studio had a nice large modern room, bathroom, kitchen with flat screen and private veranda with table and ashtray
- Left to your own devices to self cater which I enjoyed, housekeeping still asked to clean the room during my stay which is nice
- Cooker/microwave, separate microwave, kettle, hidden mid sized fridge, fan, good heating, nice artwork,
- Very comfy pillows and duvet, plenty of clean towels
- Great mattresses for a perfect sleep
- Large mirror and full sized desk in the room
- Nice lighting and very atmospheric
- Separate entrance to main hotel
- Pots, frying pan, cutlery, wine glasses and mug was provided which was convenient
- Managed to cook multiple elements of a dish with no smoke alarm triggers or problems
- French doors onto the private dug out veranda was a very nice feature
- It's only £10 per hour to extend check-out which I added an extra hour on so I have more time to leave with no complaints from the manager
- Cost was very reasonable for the holiday season, made a great short 3 day stay very easy to book short notice
Cons:
- Not much to the hotel, 5 metre wide reception area by front door which is awkward
- My suite was located downstairs, where there were also other guest rooms however the hallway looked like the cleaners storeroom and unkept.
- Noise from hallway, slamming doors by other guests or housekeepers can be heard which would shake the TV
- 5hr wait for a remote control for the TV
- No toilet roll
- Advertised a king sized bed, but it was two singles locked together
- Other guests window located on large veranda, which didn't have cover from the rain. If the guests next door open the curtains you see the entire room vice versa which was the case
- TV is on the wall with a extendable clamp, but it was unsturdy and unlevel. If you tried to balance it screws fell out of the clamp with plaster dust which I had to screw back in after trying to turn the screen on.
I really enjoyed my stay with the hotel; which turned out to be more of a self catering, collection of mini apartments which suited me well. It was lovely to not have to leave the hotel for fresh air and to have to private outside area to the suite was a great touch for central London. Odd bits and bobs that could be fixed or more well presented, but that didn't bother my stay. I would 100% recommended the hotel and would stay again. Just be aware of the noise from the hallways entering the room, it's wasn't excessive but definitely noticeable.
