Hotel 55

The hotel is conveniently located two minutes from a picadilly line station. First impression is good and the hotel also has an indian restaurant at the ground floor of this converted 3 story building. There was nobody at reception and the whole check in and out experience was off putting. There is no lift and my room was on the second floor at the back which meant more steps up and down. The room itself was nice and modern with view over the garden, bathroom is on the small size but clean. Fridge, coffee machine, kettle and tea, coffee, water available. Nice view over the garden. Although modern the lack of lift and the inadequate check in and out process let this place down. Certainly not worth the almost €150 paid excluding breakfast.

Was honestly fearing the worst reading some recent reviews. Even took my own pillowcase as some reviews made it out to be grim. Arrived to a lovely welcome from all staff and a clean and well presented room. Booked two double rooms with our party, one smaller than other but still perfectly adequate. Nice amenities in room. Sure, things are a little tired in places, but this is a very reasonably priced hotel given distance to central london and we were super happy. I would recommend and stay again. No breakfast option in hotel but the coffee place 1min walk away is sooo good! Staff were so accommodating at this hotel and honestly baffled by other reviews?!?

Listing & photos are deceiving. The hotel has a lot of potential but is in need of a lot of maintenance. Staff were pleasant & helpful. We arrived early & asked if we could sit in the bar for a drink whilst we waited…..waited we did, there is no functioning bar. We found the fridges / bar shelves empty, laundry piled up in the corner & luggage dotted about. Once our room was ready it was tiny. That’s fine as we were out for the evening but my 6ft 4 hubby struggled walking around the end of the bed to the bathroom. We were disappointed but as mentioned above, it has potential.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. This hotel is marketed as a 4 star boutique hotel with "complimentary WiFi, Japanese restaurant, trendy bar and breakfast". In my opinion this is a clear case of false advertising, as there is no functioning restaurant, Japanese or otherwise. There is no bar. There is no breakfast. The WiFi did not work in my room. The room itself was tiny, not even room for a suitcase, and filthy. It was disgusting. Many hairs in the bed and throughout the room, even in the coffee mugs. The bathroom was damp with a peeling ceiling, cracked tiles, mould, and a thick layer of scum on the shower glass. There were little insects everywhere. It was very obvious to me that the room, and property itself has not been cleaned or maintained adequately for a long time. I asked to speak to the manager and my request was refused, there was no interest whatsoever in attempting to resolve the matter. I arrived late and spent 4 hours on my phone trying to find another hotel, but at 1am with no WiFi it was difficult. I dozed fully clothed on the disgusting in until 8 am, at which point l left immediately in search of another hotel even thought I had a booked a 2 night stay. In my opinion this is an awful hotel with awful management, and truly fits the description of the 'nightmare experience" that most people dread in a hotel. Never again.

Tiny room, even smaller bathroom. You are advised to use the safe in the room but there isn’t one. There is no bar or breakfast (even though it’s advertised on the website) there isn’t even a vending machine to get a drink from. All of the shops shut before midnight, even the petrol station close by. If you stay here do bit expect to be able to get anything to eat or drink at night. The WiFi does not work and the blinds in the room are thin and cheap and do not keep the light out after 5am. Would not recommend staying here at all.

Absolutely brilliant hotel,staff especially Monica who went that extra mile for us.The room was spotless and the room facilities are excellent.we stayed in room 1 for disabled access the fridge was a nice touch and the coffee machine and bottled water came in very handy.The transport links to Piccadilly Circus were great from near by North Ealing tube line.But what really made our stay enjoyable was the lovely Monica a clear asset to the hotel,she made us feel like a VIP . Thanks for being a great hotel,we will definitely book and stay again.

Big bay windows, which are beautiful, but let in all the sound from the busy road in front of the hotel. Requested the quietest room possible, if this was the quietest then I can't imagine what the other rooms are like. The noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in and meant an extremely poor nights sleep.

I chose this hotel due to the free parking and the proximity to the Hanger Lane tube, and I was extremely happy to discover that this hotel offers you a great value for money. The service from Aladdin was impeccable. The room was great, clean, quiet. The bed was excellent and they even offered a coffee machine with real milk. I will surely book it again.
