With its large rooms and high ceilings you could tell this hotel once was very grand place to stay but it is now rather dated and not the cleanest. However, it did the job for a night’s sleep following watching Liverpool win 2-0 against Villa 🎉 and was really a handy location because it is just around the corner from Liverpool Lime Street Station.

The hotel is located in the center of Liverpool, with an excellent location. It is 7 minutes away from Lime Street Railway Station and 5 minutes away from Central Station. It is only ten minutes away from Liverpool Cathedral, Liverpool University, Liverpool One, Albert Dock, China Town and other important attractions and commercial areas. There is also "Ren Ai Street" nearby to satisfy the baby who misses Chinese food. The hotel itself is very old and suitable for tourists who like to appreciate old buildings, but the decoration and maintenance of the accommodation rooms are very reluctant. There are also many regretful reviews on Google. We stayed in room 146, located in the southeast corner of the second floor, far away from the bar on the first floor, so it is relatively quiet. The room is still very spacious and clean. Unfortunately, the bedroom heater does not work. The weather is not too cold, so I didn't go to the front desk to solve it-the front desk is very busy most of the time, or maybe we checked in on the weekend, so we always saw the front desk queuing. If you don't mind the outdated hotel accommodation facilities, this hotel can be regarded as one of the best value hotels in Liverpool.
