I came to Little Rock for a conference and stayed at the Hamptan! Parking was a little confusing at first. The signs helped a lot! The Front Desk Attendant named Antoinette, allowed me to check in early so I did not have to carry my bags around. She was so kind and helpful!! I wish more hotels had staff like her! I was a little disappointed the Condo pool next door was much better than ours. But the Garden area is beautiful! My room was perfect and I even got a text from the hotel asking if the room was okay and if I needed anything I don’t recall ever being asked that. Excellent customer service!! A+ hotel Highly recommend

I had read all the reviews and saw several complaints about the "alley" which one has to pass through from parking garage to hotel. It's not an alley, at all. It's a gated, wrought-iron fenced, landscaped walkway which passes through a courtyard between the hotel and a set of condos. I thought it was quite charming (see attached photos.) It wasn't that long of a walk and I would say if a person can't carry their luggage that far, they either have too much luggage or too little exercise. The parking garage is gated, as well, and restricted to hotel guests and condo-dwellers. I didn't know how to rate this hotel so I'm just going to list the pros and cons (imo) and one can decide for themselves. Pros: - Staff were all very kind; always smiling and pleasant. - Price is right. - Beds were comfortable and sheets were clean; slept well. - Room and bathroom were clean and pretty roomy. - Carpet felt clean (didn't feel grungy like some hotels I've been in.) - A/C worked great. - On ground floor level, the elevators and all doors, and outside gate entrances, can only by accessed via one's room key. - Check in was fairly quick. - About 2 blocks from River Market District - Breakfast was ok. Cons: - A bit lackadaisical in maintenance and upkeep. - Although room was clean, there was "wear and tear" in the room; scuffs on the wall; stains on the carpet; a little grimy on the door around the door handle - needed a good, deep clean. - The large shampoo dispenser in the shower was empty (not a big deal for us as we always carry shampoo.) - Toilet very slow to flush. - The spin cycle, on the washing machines, was set to only spin for a few minutes. When the cycle finished, the clothes were still so wet that they were just barely past the point of dripping. (That means they take longer to dry.) We dried them 2 times and they were still damp. We finally elected to put the damp clothes in a bag and take them to a laundrymat to finish drying. Cost of both the washer and the dryer is $1.50 per cycle. (Come on, Hampton; I expect this of cheap laundromats, but not an "moderately upscale" hotel.) - No coin machine in laundry and front desk was out of change. - Breakfast is 6am-10am. A large group (15-20 people) went thru the breakfast area and completely consumed several items (no problem); the problem was that those items were never refilled/replaced for other hotel guests, and just left empty. If breakfast is 4 hours, then there needs to be all items available for 4 hours. This could be a really nice place with just a little upkeep, management and maintenance.

The room was nice. Change left on the floor from a guest sometime before us. Beds were uncomfortable and creaked. Parking is a nightmare! You have to park in a garage for $15 per night and lug your stuff through a path.Breakfast was poor.Daytime front desk was pleasant.

Bedding sheets (no blanket or comforter) were broken and not clean. Kitchen drawers can’t be closed. Carpet had pets fur. We have a toy poodle that doesn’t shed! Sofa bed had some debris as well. When checking out, the computer system was down, so there was no staff at the front desk to help. The location was supposed to be convenient, but the surrounding roads are under construction, so we have to take detours and it was frustrating.

Had low expectations, and this hotel met them. Person checking me in at the front desk was rude and unhelpful. Hotel was "out of water." Despite Hilton Diamond status, received no acknowledgement, no snacks, no water, etc. Room was underwhelming with badly stained carpet and a super loud AC unit that banged around all night. Would not stay again.

Save yourself the stress, stay somewhere else. Although the rooms are nice and the location is convenient, the front desk staff can be extremely rude and unprofessional. The front desk lady that checks us in acted like we were a bother to her. I asked for a late checkout and she didn’t want ven do it.

First off we got here and the beds were dirty!! The floor was disgusting had stains and torn in places and the rooms smelled like pee! The pillows smelled like someone had laid on them already. Fan did not work in the bathroom and the pool was green! No conditioner in the bathrooms and really not that friendly, And look at the picture of the pool! It is green!! Seriously I want my money back! the Night Shift Guy, he gets 5 stars, he was very helpful, very friendly and just an awesome person, so thank you to the Night Shift Guy, we may come back just because of his world class customer service! Although we checked in around 2 and that lady had terrible customer service, short with guests and acted like she didn’t have time for anyone. We come to Little Rock multiple times a year and for now on we will be trying Holday Inn. Stop charging 150$ a night if your rooms are not clean and well maintained, especially if the bed is dirty!!! To be honest I would like my money back, Hampton Inns used to be top of the line, the most comfortable hotels we had ever stayed at, but they have gone so far down hill.
