Stayed here as a budget option whilst on business It is basically very good value, clean and hospitable Did not eat but had breakfast which was good value, freshly cooked and ingredients were good quality The room was comfortable and the bathroom freshly done Only bag was the rather small bath towel which although spotlessly clean was a bit washed out

What amazing food! South African style menu. Loads to chose from including half portions which was great for me as I was then able to have pudding too! Prices not too bad. Lovely welcome and atmosphere. Free wifi. Good outside space with fabulous views. Will definitely be back!

Came here with my partner what a fantastic dinner we had would 100% recommend the camerbert sharing platter good value for money. Great service by Harry and Ryan and amazing food by delta. Great atmosphere and lovely view of the horses. Would 100% come here again. Such a lovely family run pub Also staying in one of the rooms very clean and tidy not a spec of dust in sight.

Great place to catch up with the partners family. The new menu is amazing I recommend the traditional camembert sharing platter very fulling. Loved the decor great environment and quick and friendly staff, very welcoming and made us feel at home. A very lovely family run pub !!

Received a lovely welcoming from Jill and her family, great atmosphere, friendly staff and locals. Food is scrumptious and all freshly hand made by the family. The Pri Pri soup was yummy, couldn't get the secret recipe through. There are beautiful views of the country side 10/10 from me. I highly recommended a stay here, we will definitely be coming back. Thank you all for a lovely stay.

I was very well looked after at the Sportsman's Valley Hotel. This is a friendly, family run b&b at the pub. It's right opposite the railway station, so an ideal stay without a car. There are beautiful views down the valley at the back. The rooms are fresh, clean, and very well appointed. The evening meals are superb, delicious, and very popular with locals and visitors. The breakfast was wonderful. It was a joy to stay. Thank you.

Lovely food, the chips are just fantastic. Very friendly pub, landlord happy to chat. Nice feel to the bar area. The menu is interesting rather than just ‘pub grub’ which makes a change. Highly recommend
