We traveled 2 hours to attend the Lindsay Exibition. Two couples, we have stayed at this hotel before without issue. This time however we found the hotel has changed and not for the best. First the cost of a room in this small town is now outrageous. Our total for two nights had ballooned to $536 dollars and change. The hotel states free WiFi, but we had no WiFi the entire time. Their entertainment is zero, as there is no restaurant, but also their tv package is pitiful, plus there is no guide. There is no movie rental option. So without WiFi our entertainment option was to sit through 20 minutes of tv ads to find out what was on the few channels they do subscribe to was garbage. We called and a desk clerk came up and he agreed that we had no WiFi. He tried to reboot the entire hotel but it didn’t work. Or traveling companions across the hall had WIFi in their room, our device worked in their room,… our room was a dead zone. Staff told us that they did not know..??? So we’re not into the all night Pub seen in town and the rest of the small town closes down around 5 pm, and no WiFi, and trash tv, it left us with zero options for entertainment. Also I think with the cost of our room, you would think Days Inn Wyndham could afford to put a bottle of water or two in the refrigerator….nope. They can’t afford that, we had to go all the way to the first floor to buy one…or anything…from limited items from a vending machine. The hotel was clean. Pillows were awful, hard, round, beach ball neck breakers. The bright spot was breakfast. The older women that worked weekends were lovely. Like being cared for by our Mom, efficient, with smiles all around. Thank you ladies. For our misery and lack of WiFi the check out clerk gave us a big $20.00 off our bill. Big of them. We follow the Heavy Horse Hitch Series, where the end of the month they will be in Carp Ontario near Ottawa. There is a Days Inn Wyndham there too…but we won’t be staying with them. Never again. Days Inn Wyndham, a three dressed up as a nine and way over priced for the customer care received.
