Room 216, a bit dated, but comfortable, Food very poor and never hot. Dining room tables too close infact we were with the travel company, travel department, who kept all the group in one part of the dining room and it got very very noisy as people were sitting at long tables and having to shout to each other, rather than in smaller groups at smaller tables. The dining room staff were rushed off their feet, and sometimes had to wait a long time for food. Would I return to this hotel, definitely NOT.

I am not adding any positives as they were few. In my own opinion and experience of this hotel. This is the worst treatment I have ever had at any hotel I have stayed in and there has been many world wide. On arrival for our 7 night stay to be told we are only booked for 6 nights, although I had written confirmation that I was infact booked for 7 nights. Reception totally uninterested in this and just responded take it up with your agent also answering phone when we were discussing this, we also checked next day with another receptionist she was also uninterested and was extremely rude to my wife basically chucking us out in the street for our last day/night. Customer service and personality training needed I think. Never even recognised once passing through reception unlike all other hotels I have been to. More worring trip hazards all over the place witnessed aftermath of another guest falling over and pulling displaystand over could have been bad, going to and coming from room you have to walk through dining room which is terrible. We only had breakfast and it was horrible. In my opinion hotel has a lot of safety issues including the smoke detector in our room was capped and taped off making it inoperable not sure of regulations in Italy but in UK this is illegal. We arranged another hotel for last day/night, they were extremely helpful and professional when dealing with us restoring a bit of faith to return to lake Garda but definitely not the Alaxander Hotel.

My husband and I where booked to stay7 nights in this hotel through an organised tour trip with travel company arriving 18th September 2024. On arrival at check in the receptionist informed us where informed we where only booked for 6 nights, we showed her our reservation documents from the travel company, the receptionist was un interested and unwilling to check our documents, during check in she constantly answered telephone at reception and speaking to other member of staff until we questioned her customer service. She informed us we needed to contact our travel company. Which we did straight away whilst in reception. We where informed by them we where booked for 7 nites and they would rectify this with the hotel and would contact the hotel regarding the booking, to check back with reception in a few days. We did as instructed on day 2 of our holiday, again receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful, she didn't even lift her head to engage with us. She continued to look at her desk. She stated that there had been no communication from travel company without even checking computer or engaging with ourselves. When we asked her why she hadn't check for us she informed myself, "mam if I say we have not had anything then we haven't " in a very aggressive rude manner. The reception staff unprofessional certainly ertainly need some customer service training Room was clean although dated. Strange lay out with shower in hall way. No tea or coffee facilities. Very poor for 4 star hotel. Smoke detector in room capped and taped, making it inoperable. Very frightening. We had a balcony room which was shared with several room. Artifical grass dirty. Over grown plant pots filled with weeds. Trip hazard at patio area accessing balcony and sunlounger especially for anybody with mobility issues or visually impaired Breakfast choice appalling, scrambled egg appeared to be uncooked. Limited choice. Table of cakes for breakfast. Limited choice of fruit, have never stayed in hotel anywhere where bananas are chopped up and turning bkack. Only positive about restaurant was the waiting staff who where polite and professional. Had to access room and reception area through restaurant area, which in evenings was not very nice for guests having evening meal. The reception area is also a trip hazard for anybody never mind guests with mobility issues or visually impaired as there no clear differential marking on level changes, I am fit and healthy and nearly tripped over at ramp near lift and access door to dining room. On arrival we witnessed the aftermath of a lady having fallen We have travelled extensively in Europe, USA and Asia and never experienced a experience like this. Thankfully we did move on oour final night and recieved excellent experience with helpful professionals service in a safe room Avoid this hotel at all cost These are my options of this hotel .

Very mixed review with this hotel. We will start off with the good - * Perfect location. 5 minute walk into the centre of Limone and to get the ferry. * Room was spacious. Bed was made and clean towels early, before 12 everyday. * Good views from the balcony. We were room 402 and the view was stunning. There was a terrace beside our room also which overlooked more of the lake. Now for the bad - * The food. The food in this hotel is the worst that I have ever ate in any hotel anywhere. Since coming home I have read reviews dated as far back as 2017 with complaints of the food. And obviously, 7 years later, the hotel has done little to nothing to try and rectify this clear issue. I have had better school and hospital dinners. The breakfast was mostly cake?? Not sure who is wanting that for breakfast. We are not fussy eaters at all, but after a couple of days we ate out of the hotel. * The pool - the pool is extremely cold. The lake itself is warmer than the pool. The hotel has a hot tub which was visibly dirty and was never cleaned the whole time we were there. The pool was also dirty. Both also had leaves that had fell into them and again, these lay the whole time we were there. The pool is also seen from the road so everyone walking and driving by can clearly see, so there is no privacy there at all. * Poor facilities in the spa which is made up with a sauna, steam room and a tiny hydropool which is cold. Although our room is spacious, I wouldn't recommend if you were traveling with a friend as the shower is in the middle of the room. We tried to contact reception from our room several times and it just kept ringing with no answer. When we went downstairs to reception there was a staff member vaping. The only reason why I would go back to this hotel would be on a room only basis for the location. Unfortunately, we were half board and lost a lot of money. If the hotel was based on the food alone I would give it 1 star. The only reason why it's been given 3 is due to the location.

Superb location for Limone and the beautiful restaurants and bars on offer there. Great location too for using the ferries. The hotel has safe underground free parking. The breakfast is disappointing fruit, bread, eggs and what I can only say was a table of cake? We didn’t eat in the Restaurant as the restaurants in Limone are excellent and have great views etc. A great base to explore but we didn’t spent time in the hotel really.

Stayed for week in Aug 2024. Hotel is in excellent location within walking distance of centre and ferry. Market just around the corner. Free guest carpark which was extremely handy. Room clean and comfortable, towels changed daily. Always free sun loungers around the pool. Although it has a bar not somewhere though you would spend too long drinking in. All round good place to stay in limone

Spent a week in a superior room half board. The good:- Check in was good Reception staff helpful with booking trips and good overall. Dinner meals ok but occasionally no choices that we liked out of 3. Great staff. The bad Breakfast was lacking in choices and limited and poor looking hot food. Lots of cakes but who wants cakes for breakfast! Noice was my biggest issue we must have been next to a family room we had maybe 2-3 different families across the week with babies who cried. We could hear everything and it went on past midnight. Not what we expect from paying more for this superior room. Like most places not asked about our stay. Limone is gorgeous!!
