Rodostamo Hotel & Spa

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff are the kindest and loveliest people, I would say that is the best aspect about staying here. We stayed in a panoramic superior bungalow room 421. We actually viewed other rooms and I am very glad this is the one we were allocated, the view was the best we have had in any hotel we have stayed in. Glorious sunrises and sunsets and the balcony got the sun from am to pm. The gym, the heated pool, the main pool and bar are all wonderful, the lunch in the bar area was great and well priced. We stayed half board, the breakfast was brilliant, so many choices, fresh juices, food cooked fresh and nice and hot, the staff were so lovely. A special mention here for our favourite staff member Ionela, the best smile and remembered everyone’s coffee/tea order every morning. She made every morning a delight. Because we were there end of season, we had our first 3 meals as the buffet and the last 4 meals in avalle restaurant at the water front, I cannot tell you how delighted we were to have this the last 4 nights, the restaurant is top class (reviewed separately), we were very underwhelmed with the buffet. Drinks are expensive, a 200ml coke is 4 euros. Cocktails start at 12 euros. My top tip is to rent a car - you need one to stay most places in Corfu in all honesty, we had the most amazing days out travelling to beaches and Corfu town. I would have felt very isolated if we didn’t have the car, there isn’t much to do around the hotel. There is a small mini market about a 10 min walk away. Our only negatives were the evening buffet (but we were there very end of season with about 10 other people so may be different when it’s busy!), on the first night our jacuzzi wasn’t turned on which was disappointing that no one had checked before our arrival so it wasn’t hot enough to use, and lastly which is of course no fault of the hotel but just to be aware - because it’s beautifully located on the water front, mosquitos are a real issue. I was covered in bites within 24 hours. Bring some spray! All in all, a wonderful fun stay in a stunning resort with lovely staff, I would certainly return again.

Pretty underwhelmed by this Hotel. It was meant to be a 5* but its more like a 3*. The best thing about this hotel were the house keeping staff they were fantastic! Other members of staff seriously need training. The breakfast greeter didn’t even know us or our room number by day 7. Breakfast service at the table was pitiful ,had to ask for extra coffee, extra clean cutlery, clear dirty plates. Staff seemed to prefer to chat with one another than attend to guests. While dining at the pool restaurant one evening , unfortunately the waiter spilt a whole glass of wine over me, yes I got apology but no offer of compensation or of laundering my dress. It would have been helpful to get some tips about the area i.e. path to bus stop and back entrance to some nice restaurants with key opening large metal gate No towels at pool, ( we had to take carry these from our room…some distance from the pool), no where to leave dirty towels. Had to put cushions on sunbeds ourselves, towels were too small for sunbeds. I have no problem doing any of these things but this is not what you expect at a 5* hotel. Our room 408 a Superior Panorama Bungalow was a little disappointing, single beds pushed together to look like a king. Huge lack of hooks to hang towels etc in bath room. No coathangers , we were given some on request? Our view was obstructed by the back of another bungalow ( also fully illuminated at night). We looked directly into our neighbours hot tub on looking over the balcony. Fortunately our downstairs 3 woman neighbours didn’t arrive until the weekend so we did not have to suffer the hot tub party for too many nights! We had no hot water one evening … we called reception they told us to run it for longer. We explained we had both taken lukewarm showers so couldn’t really run it much longer than we had. They said the would send an engineer ( they didn’t as we later found out no engineers work after5).On return from our evening meal we checked the water by this time it was freezing cold we phoned back reception they said and I quote “ remind us after breakfast tomorrow “ . On departure staff offered to come take over suitcase down ( there are lots of steps). A time was agreed , after waiting past the time agreed we took the case down ourselves.

Yet again, a wonderful experience! Never disappointed with this extraordinary Hotel! Every time we come back, it gets better and better. I can't fault the ambience, friendly staff and especially my favourite bar mixologist extraordinaire Mr Yiannis and culinary expert Dimitris - a dynamic pair who are truly an asset to the hotel. A wonderful hotel that provides everything at a high level: excellent breakfast, good restaurant, great service, a pool with a sea view, and all in a beautiful area. We were here for a week and enjoyed every moment. Tripadviser asks me for 200 characters so I keep on writing but I said it all

This hotel proclaims itself as 5 star, which is the main reason we chose it when booking our stay through BA Holidays, but when we arrived we immediately realised this hotel was nothing like a 5 star hotel. It’s more like a 3 star at best. Our room smelled of cigarettes. We went to the pool area to get some lunch and chose a couple of beds to leave our bag and towels, but noticed all bed cushions had mould marks on them which we photographed. The fencing around the pool was dirty and dishevelled, in the restaurant the floorboards were falling apart. The whole feel to this place was that of a cheap hotel that in no way earned the right to be known as a 5 star hotel. Within an hour we paid for our lunch and booked another 5 star hotel around the corner (The Grecotel Imperial) which is truly worth every one of its 5 stars. The comparison between the 2 hotels only 1 kilometre away from each other is of two complete extremes. Furthermore when we tried to get a refund, the management of this awful hotel refused. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for 5 stars.

Wonderful hotel. Lovely staff very helpful. Great house keeping very clean. Stayed with friends lovely room with pool. Great location. Lots of nice restaurants near by . Courtesy bus to nearest beach. Would recommend very friendly hotel. Definitely be back .

Had a wonderful 9 day holiday with my wife and daughter at the Rodostamo Hotel. From Sofia, Diana and the rest of the reception team, they couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. Gregorios was great behind the bar, and Sperios, was always helpful and friendly around the pool.

A fantastic hotel. Great room and lovely communal areas, decor is very up market. The buffet breakfasts and evening choice was the best ever. Tried the Rodostamo Restaurant, with 40% discount if you are half board, it was excellent, as was the service. The Head Waiter/ Manager was charming and made us feel special. The pool is lovely but rather cold for September and the grass around the pool a bit of a mistake, as after rain your feet and lounger beds get muddy and this goes everywhere. The hotel is a bit remote but for a relaxing holiday you could not do better. The staff were wonderful and could not do more for you.
