Hotels Near Lille Grand Palais in Lille

I would've rated the hotel as 5 stars however on my last evening and following morning there was no hot water. When i mentioned this to reception, the staff member was exceptionally rude and unapologetic. I was bluntly told that someone was coming to fix it that morning and ”issues in hotels get fixed quickly” - well then, why wasn't it resolved the night before? It still hadn't been fixed by the time I checked out at 12pm. Why not just acknowledge it was an issue and apologise? Not happy with how I was treated. Aside from this incident, the bed was comfy but i found the duvet too warm for summer temperatures. Complimentary snacks and lounge area are great and really sets this hotel apart from others. I didn't have breakfast as i thought €19 was a bit steep - there are plenty of options on adjacent streets with great coffee.

I had a good experience, my room was clean and space enough, the location is ideal in the middle of the center of Lille. A good staff, a good breakfast.

We had a very poor experience at this hotel. We were planning to arrive Friday but our train cancelled so we arrived Saturday morning. We let the hotel know so they didn’t think we were no shows. We assumed that because we paid for the Friday night we could check in early on the Saturday morning and our rooms would be ready. We checked in, were given a key and went up to the room to find it dirty and clearly slept in. Queried this with reception and they said well you weren’t using it so we let someone else use it because of an issue in their room. We were told to come back at 2pm and they would clean the room. They clearly knew the room had been slept in, why even give me the key in the first place if it wasn’t clean? What if I had walked in on someone in the room (it was only 9:30am when we arrived)? And either I paid for the room so it was mine and I should have been able to use Saturday morning or they should have refunded me. The problems sadly didn’t stop there. The rooms are extremely basic - very dark even with all the lights on, a bathroom door that doesn’t fully shut, one pillow each and a thin duvet. The heating in the room didn’t work until 2am when it decided to come on at full blast, making the room stifling. Shower had two settings - scalding hot or barely warm, with bad pressure. They did comp our breakfast for the Sunday morning to make up for the room issues which I appreciated, but the breakfast was absolute chaos. Packed full of people and in a space which was way too small. Toaster was broken, food was cold and they ran out of crockery. Just a disappointment.

The hotel is in a good location and the front desk service is very good. They even speak a little Chinese.

I stayed here for business for 3 months. It a clean and friendly hotel. It is very central therefore easy to walk anywhere in Lille from it. The staff are so friendly and are always keen to help. I always felt it as an oasis of calm .. despite any chaos outside .. rugby World Cup & braderie.. I would walk in the doors to calm & peace. The gym was basic but adequate for my needs and again I enjoyed the calm of it. I would recommend it whole heartedly and will miss it.

This hotel is perfectly located in a nice central area. Next to magnificent museum Palace of Fine Arts. The reception is very nice and helpful. They speak fluently different languages and e-mail communication with the reception is clear and fast. Rooms are a bit dated but very clean.
