B&B Hotel Lille Centre Grand Palais

The location is 20 minutes walk from the city centre and 9 minutes from the nearest station. The facilities inside the toilet are quite old. Car park is great.

Great hotel - lovely breakfast; reception is helpful, Rooms tidy and comfy - well located for the conferecne centre.

I was slightly worried about this hotel, as it was very reasonable compared to others. I needn't have been. My friend and I had a room each, it was ample for myself and would have been fine sharing. The bed was comfortable, room and bathroom were clean, shower was working fine and plenty of space to put items for a few days. There was a tv but it only had 1 English channel, BBC World news. No tea/coffee making but we knew this before. Reception were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We ate in the hotel once and had a pizza, which was very nice and fairly priced. Location was good, took us 20 minutes to walk from the Eurostar station, then approx 25 minutes to walk to the centre of Lille and the Old Town. The hotel are able to call taxis for you and get a price if needed. I would 100% stay here again.

Despite the hotel name, it is not in the town centre. It is a good 20 minutes walk. The hotel, room and bathroom was ok. The breakfast was average, the bacon was a horrible colour so I didn’t bother with the bacon. All of the hotel staff and receptionists were ok and helpful except for one blond girl who works on reception. The one with long blond hair and does not wear glasses. She was incredibly rude, obnoxious and arrogant. She shouted at me and asked if I had paid for breakfast which I did. She asked for my room number and when she checked that I did pay for it, she pretended to give me the fakest smile ever. On the last day of leaving, I went to check out. There was no one at reception, the rude blond girl was on duty but was standing outside smoking cigarette which was very unprofessional and selfish considering she was the only one on duty at reception and no one else was at the time. She saw me standing at reception but deliberately pretended to ignore that I was standing there. I had to get the housekeeper who was cleaning at the time to go and let the blond girl know that I was waiting at reception to be checked out. This girl needs to be sacked, she clearly knows nothing about customer service and should not be doing reception if doesn’t want to do the job and treating hotel guests like that.
