Hotel Olimpo le Terrazze

Going in October was great for us. The hotel was geared to older people, and we were informed it was completely different from the summer months that were loud hectic and busy. I would say this hotel is not suitable for children as there are a lack of facilities to amuse youngsters throughout their day, only water play. We went as a party of three women and had rooms 3524 3526 and 3540. Each room was large,spacious, spotless, with loads of storage, and each one had an excellent sea view. Sleep was good as the hotel was quiet by 12 midnight. All of the team at the Olimpo-Le-Terrazze hotel were helpful and friendly and a real credit to their employers. The outdoor pool was cold yet rejuvenating once we were brave enough to get into it. Round the pool loungers were plentiful. We were treated to a stunning view, too. The food was plentiful and good. We never had snacks even though they were readily available as we didn't need to. No complaints at all with food and drink availability. Night time entertainment was low-key music and singing. The hotel had weddings whilst we were there, and it also had weekenders staying there, too. The hotel is close to bus routes, and the train station, the reliability of public transport, was spot on and very cheap. We did go out and about with plenty of opportunities to travel around the area with ease. We received a good overview of the area from the TUI rep, who was helpful and informative along with the reception team at the hotel, who also helped when they could this made us more confident in exploring the area. Mosquitos were a downer for us, yet they weren't keen on lemon juice that worked well for all three of us, creams, lotions, and potions did nothing. We were unaware that October is the season for mosquitos before flying there, so be prepared. All in all, we were so sad to leave as the Olimpo-Le-Terrazze Hotel, the hotel provided us with great people who looked after us - made a fuss with patience,great facilites and a superb location. We actually felt that we had a real break, a true holiday. Sicily is lovely. Thanks for a fantastic stay. We will be back.

Just back from a girls’ long weekend. Can honestly say we had a fabulous time and the staff were top notch! The waiters, bar staff, entertainment were such good fun and we had so many laughs with them. The hotel is in a fabulous spot with amazing views and really close to beautiful Taormina. Thanks team Olimpo!

Stayed this week, and was mindful of the reviews of recent weeks. Hotel is old&very traditional, cleaned everyday as well as our room. AC is great, so cool in all areas&room. Food was limited choice but we love pasta so all good. Large pool was chaotic, music very loud, and the families were very loud. We would use the smaller pool in the sister hotel. Beach was lovely, get a voucher from reception to get your 2 free sunbeds &brolly in the hotel lido. Facilities were good&clean. Was a 10 mins walk to beach &very easy to find. Evening entertainment was ok, all in Italian, no other languages spoken, not that we heard. Views are amazing, surrounded by hills&beach. Bus stop&train station nearby for easy access to other areas of the east coast. We visited Mount Etna & Taormina. Beautiful!. Negative thoughts, you have to drink from paper or plastic cups only, help yourself to drinks but limited choice&limited soft drinks. The bars seem to open different times, you cannot just walk into a bar area&get a drink. You have to learn the opening times, not great for AI. There is no waiter service, I must admit, I didn't enjoy at all drinking from the throw away cups&they were small. Would I return? Letojanni is very nice, but wouldn't return to this hotel.
