Although it is a bit far from the center of Chamonix, it is nice because it is quiet and offers a better view of the Alps. At first, I called a taxi to go to the accommodation (35 euros), but after that, I took a train called TER for 20 minutes. To pay the fare, simply show the ticket provided by the hotel where you are staying. It's free after all. Riding a mountain train is also a new experience. The hotel has a nice surrounding view, is clean, and is warm.
It's quaint and old-fashioned. The owner decorated it beautifully and the owner and his wife were very friendly. It looks cool too.
On the day of check-out, I had to take a night bus to Paris, and they took care of my luggage while I was going up to Chamonix, so I was able to travel comfortably.
If I go to Chamonix again, I will stay here again and it is a place I would recommend to people I know.

Chambre côté vallée très agréable, vue superbe. L’écologie est de rigueur en ces temps de perturbations climatiques ; de là à demander de n’utiliser l’ascenseur qu’à la montée... !!! Ne pas faire de ménage, sauf sur demande, en prétextant l’écologie, c’est plutôt l’économie qui semble être recherchée. Je trouve dommage que le menu du dîner soit si simpliste surtout en accueillant une clientèle internationale qui ne trouve pas les qualités gustatives d’une cuisine élaborée mais je suis peut-être un peu trop exigeant, le rapport qualité-prix est limite. Seule la vue a un prix !

Volete un ostello degli anni 50? Bene allora lo avete trovato. Solo il piano terra ha subito una recente ristrutturazione. Le stanze sono vetuste la pulizia molto scarsa la presenza di moquette ovunque emana un odore di vecchio e trascurato. Capisco che con due stelle le aspettative non debbano essere alte. Ma, per un week end in coppia, abbiamo comunque pagato più di quattrocento euro per un soggiorno con colazione. Esperienza pessima, struttura assolutamente non consigliata
