Econo Lodge

this was our first time staying at Econo lodge and definitely the people who work here awesome. very friendly and polite and they will take care of your concerns right way. the manager who checked me in was there in the morning during breakfast talking to guests and making waffles for them. I have traveled over my bike so many times and stayed at motels but this was first for me. There was a towel on my bike for me to clean my bike with. This will be my place to stay whenever I am traveling on I-75.

No smoking room reeked of smoke. No other room available. Had to go to another hotel. They said they refunded my money. However, it has been 4 days and no refund. Another charge was made to my credit card today. Not sure what is going on here. Tried to call, manager not there.

Older hotel but owners try very hard to keep it clean and everything worked. Some items were outdated and small things could be replaced and some small paint jobs. But CLEAN! Plenty of linens, comfy bed, pretty good breakfast. A little leary when we checked in seeing 2 large groups of college students arriving. They were rowing and softball athletes competing in the area. BUT! They were quiet! 😁👍 A bit dissappointed we were not able to use our coupon, but I guess we arrived a little late and they were close to full. We would come back.

I don't know why the lodging in this little nothing of a town is so expensive, but we were just looking for a convenient, budget friendly place to stay overnight so we chose this little motel. I guess we were expecting something slightly nicer based on the reviews. Wade at the front desk was super friendly and helpful so that's a plus, but the owner - although well-intentioned I'm sure - was a bit intrusive at breakfast. The breakfast selection itself was minimal and heavy on the carbs but they did have a waffle machine so that was nice. The only problem is, as I approached the waffle maker, the overbearing owner took a cup of batter that had been sitting out at the side of the machine (for how long, I have no idea) and proceeded to pour it on the waffle iron for me. That didn't sit well with me at all; I had no idea how long it had been out or if anyone had touched it. As it turned out, I didn't get sick so I guess its was okay, but the whole experience didn't sit right with me.

This was a clean, nice place to stay. We are just passing through on our way to the Smokies. The man who checked us in (10:40 p.m.) was one of the nicest people I have encountered. He could not have been nicer or more helpful. I wish I had asked his name. The room was spacious- it had a microwave and a mini fridge. Very clean. Breakfast was great.

Believe the hype. Very well maintained property with super clean lobby and room with fresh and clean bedding. Very friendly staff and a nice included breakfast. All at a fantastic value. A rare and special experience with staff who care and take pride in their business. Highly recommend. We will be back!

The clerk I worked with at check-in was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and had an attitude that showed he genuinely cared, especially knowledgeable about restaurants in the area. This is an older style motel, with exterior doors, however it appears to have been well maintained and remodeled over the years. In the morning, they had a well-stocked continental breakfast. The clerk at the front desk in the morning was also friendly and knowledgeable, and assisted guests with the waffle iron.

We stayed only 1 night after a long drive from Ontario! The clerk Wade was personable and kind. The room was clean and no smells. The shower head was powerful after a long drive massaging our aches away! Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast crew were friendly and helpful. Would recommend Econo Lenoir.

I'm in my late 50's and have worked in sales and customer service my entire life. I have been so saddened to watch the decline in customer service at most establishments these days. I stayed at this lodge with my family when the kids were small and had such a great experience that I planned my travels for vacation around one night here again. Mr Howard Patel is the long time manager here and is a breath of fresh air to this industry. Everyone at the desk is always so kind and friendly. They make sure that you have everything you might need. The rooms are squeaky clean, but my favorite part of this lodge is THE BED!!! Mr Howard has high quality fresh mattresses for a beautiful night of sleep. Breakfast is not always a given at EL's, but of course he puts out a wonderful spread of cereal, fruit, juice and coffee as well as a waffle maker and muffins!! There is something for everyone. I almost feel like a personal guest. It is just so refreshing to see someone take so much pride in all aspects of the motel, and in making everyone feel so welcome. It will not be my last visit to the Lenoir Econo Lodge!!
