There is no disposable toothbrush and toothpaste in the room. I asked the front desk for two sets. When I checked out, I actually charged the cost of 6.6 Euro toothbrush and toothpaste. I was speechless.

Just had a lovely week at the Nh Conference Centre. For people that had “done Amsterdam and want to see a bit of the real Netherlands it’s a fantastic base. The public transport system means it’s accessible even if you have not got the use of a car. Situated in the bulb fields but a quick cycle to the beach. The staff are brilliant, ALL were great helpful, and fun. BREAKFAST, was fantastic and so much choice. The Wellness suit was immaculate. The whole experience was great.

Hotel located in a small alley close to a public parking lot, very easy to access. Rooms are on the second floor and has no elevator which is a minor nuisance as the receptionist (a young lady) was very kind and helped us with our luggage going upstairs. Room is big and clean with a kitchenette equipped with tea, coffee, fridge and other amenities. As it is tucked inside an alley, there isn't much sunlight. Hotel is very centrally located and close to many restaurants and bars so there could be some noise at night especially during the weekend. I am sure the hotel is aware of it and provides earplugs as a default in the room. :-) We had an early flight in and had notified the hotel before hand. They said they would try to accommodate and eventually checked us in 6 hours prior to the scheduled check-in time at no cost which I really appreciate. It's a nice cozy place, I recommend it.

Afterwards we got a cleaned room with new bathtubs and also the kitchen was refilled. The personal was cool. Would like to stay a bit longer

After reading the various negative reviews (after booking my trip!) I was mildly apprehensive about my stay here for a number of nights. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised to find the hotel very clean, although the check-in process was a time-consuming.mThe room iI was given was small but quite acceptable for my needs and quite clean. Once up in the room, I tried to call down to reception to clarify a minor issue. They ignored my calls. I rang 3-4 times over a period of 20-30 minutes, on one attemnpt, letting it ring for up to 10 minutes. No answer. I eventually found the information I needed in the small info-sheet after looking carefully. The next day, taking a day off from business, I wanted to stay in my room to write emails and so on, so I put out the 'please make up my room now sign at 8 am and went out for breakfast. There were 4 or 5 people in housekeeping on the floor, who, through the course of the day as I came and went, they, seemed have decided they should be doing every single room EXCEPT mine. I has to go to to reception again around lunch time as I found my key disabled. It took the gentleman on reception 25 minutes (I time this) just to be able to create me a new key, and there was no explanation other than ”the system is playing up”. Also at this time, I specifically asked if they would ensure my room was made up and I was assured he would contact housekeeping to make sure it would be done. I went out to lunch. I returned just before three, and the room remained unattended to. I went to reception, this time to register complain, and was quite brusquely told ”this is jsut because the housekeeping staff are busy”. Obviously so!! BNusy all day long doing every room apart from the only room with the ”please make up my room now ” sign hung on the door!! I asked to speak to the manager and was rebuffed. It was clear from the evasive response to my requrest that the receptionist did not want me to speak to the mana gera. After I said I really did want to speak to the manager I was told she wa s busy but would be along shortly. I expected him to do something to contact the manager such as pick up the phone or go to find her, instenad he simply started to ignore me and began to deal with another customer, which behaviour I found most discourteous. When I remonstrated about this he irritable stated taht ”I'm dealing with your problem by email -- you just can't see what I am writing on my screen”. 15 mins of this silent treatment passed I asked again for the manager and was told she was too busy to talk to me. I returned to my room, and housekeeping finally arrived at 1500. These service failings would be incompatible with a 3* rating hotel, but the ket to this thing is that these annoyances are all people related. it is not any indivudual issue-- these things are routine, and dealt with elegantly in even the cheapest of hotels. I expect more from a so-called 5 start property. I It is a real pity as the latest own

Stayed for 1 nt. hotel is right at the end of the esplanade. Lovely views and sunset over the sea. On checking in we asked about a standard and a superior room, as we hadn’t precooked our visit, lady on reception with abit of effort could have sold us a superior room but when I asked if we could see both rooms she said not as she was alone on reception ( in other hotels we have been given a key to look ourselves) in the past. Standard sea view room was very nice, however neither did she recommend we needed to book to eat in the restaurant, and being a Monday evening we didn’t think it would be necessary, we were wrong, only 1 chef on so couldn’t eat there. Decided to walk into town to eat, definately go the road route, hotel suggested a back way by the harbour, not a good plan, after a long dark explore the exit was blocked, so stick to the road. Checked out in the morning and had a lovely breakfast in the old town at a beautiful bakers shop, better than 25€ ea at the hotel. Would stay again if visiting the beautiful den Haag beaches.

Excellent
GGuest UserWe stayed in the Deluxe Apartment which lived up to it's title. Very clean , spacious and with high spec fittings including a Villeroy and Bosch Spa bath. The hotel is very special and has lots of character but more importantly the staff are helpful and charming. Leiden is a special city with so may claims to fame. History , beautiful buildings and canals, lovely shops and masses of great places to eat out. We had a lovely Anniversary in this unique city.
GGuest UserSuper spacious, comfortable and bright. Because it's new and has high ceilings, it's a great hotel. This is the best hotel among the four hotels I stayed in in the Netherlands. ㄧIt’s less than 50 meters walk from Leiden Station. It’s super convenient and the environment is quiet and elegant. Like, like, like
The hotel is located very close to the bus and train station and easy to find . The room was quiet, clean comfortable and I felt very safe on my own. The bathroom was clean and large with all amenities. There is no staff in the evenings but you can borrow plates, cutlery, wine glasses , bottle openers etc from the breakfast room . The room also has a small fridge and a kettle and there is an elevator. The bed was extremely comfortable and there is access to Netflix and Prime on the TV. There are lots of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets close by. I used Leiden as a base for visiting Lisse, Delft, Rotterdam, The Hague, Hillegom and Keukenhof.
We have just stayed for three nights and were very impressed with this hotel . The location is perfect , minutes from the station and the bars , shops and restaurants in the city centre are literally just around the corner. The hotel itself is clean , comfortable and well presented . The rooms are clean and spacious . The breakfast was great and there was always plenty available. The staff were excellent. Check in and out was simple and the reception staff were really helpful ( my daughter had an ear infection when we arrived , and the young lady on reception helped us get a doctors appointment, and made a point of asking us how she was each day ) . The bar and restaurant staff were also very professional and attentive. This hotel was perfect for our family break and the staff should be commended on their excellent service . Thank you .
GGlobal37327629638The hotel is under 5 minutes walk from Central Station, and just on the edge of the main old town. Google maps is not very clever at the walking directions, and sent us a rout which took 20 minutes walking and ended up leading us to the entrance from the car park. We heard that this is a common complaint from guests arriving by foot. The hotel location is pretty handy for visiting many of the tourist spots in Leiden with probably a 20 minute walk to the Rijks Museum and / or Botanical Gardens about the biggest duration to get anywhere. The hotel is one of those with a ”host” instead of a checkin / checkout desk. You are supposed to do both yourself on an adjacent screen, although in practice the ”host” did the task for us and for almost everyone else we noticed checking in. There is no breakfast provided, but instead a reasonably large selection of snack and breakfast items plus other things you might want to buy at a hotel is available. You have to pay for these things via a scanner and card payment machine - there are no staff present. This all worked quite well for us, and proved a lot cheaper than typical hotel breakfast, but might not suit everyone. The actual room was large, but dark as can be! Walls were painted a gloomy colour which sucked all the light out of the room. Even in daylight it seemed dark, and at night it certainly was dark! The wash basin was in the same physical space as the bed, while there was a separate door for a toilet and another (glass) door for a shower. Due to the very low level of lighting, it was a big struggle to see myself in the mirror for shaving. Our room looked out onto a car park and was nice and quiet. Rooms on the main street might not be.
GGuest UserVery close to Leiden Railway Station, very convenient, the hotel is relatively clean, there are many supermarkets around, there are many restaurants, about ten minutes to the center of Leiden, it is convenient to take the train to other cities.
MMarcelo SeixasGreat location near the central station of the beautiful city of Leiden. The hotel itself is well into the world-known standards of the Ibis brand; as always, an Ibis hotel is a safe bet for a comfortable night with reasonable prices. Extra points for all of the helpful and sympathetic people at the check-in counter!
(The picture I added is actually the windows' view from my room, which was quite pleasant - even more so with the daylight in the morning)
JJIEThat day, the hotels in Rotterdam and Amsterdam were all booked, and I finally booked this one, and the price should have gone up. The location is rather off, it should be difficult to get there without driving. The service attitude is okay, it seems to be the hotel of a small football club. Free parking, there are parking spaces
