The noise pollution throughout the 2 nights I've stayed here practically guaranteed almost a restless stay. Not to mention a slightly fishy scent that greets you when you enter each room. All the rooms facing the road were ridiculously noisy, but that's not it! If you stay in the lower tier rooms, you get to hear ABSOLUTELY door that opens and closes (the sound and vibration is magnified such that you feel as if it's your door that's getting opened) and if you're lucky like me - your next door neighbour's conversations at 11pm at 7am. Reception service was functional and pleasant (by Dutch standards). When I mentioned that I couldn't sleep the whole night, I was greeted with a response of "it's a hotel in an aging building & sure, we can move you to a quieter side of the hotel, but for a fee BUT we can't guarantee that it's soundproof " True enough, this time it was the VENTS that were producing noises the next morning. If it's not clear already, please avoid this hotel if you're a light sleeper. Giving it 2 stars because it's really close to the train station and it is quite clean for a motel style room.
