Brilliant hotel. As you expect from Premier Inn, room eas immaculate and the staff were lovely, helpful and professional. The reception was unmanned on arrival due to the team in the newly taken over restaurant next door, so had to buzz to be seen, but despite clearly being stressed juggling restaurant and reception the lady on duty was excellent and remained polite, professional and had a brilliant manner. Room was spotless and well kept. Mattress was worn, but as long as you slept in the "groove" had a great sleep. Didn't use the restaurant in the evening as had been advised it was now in house, so stopped off at a the Griff Beefeater on the way, but used the restaurant for breakfast. Dan in restaurant was brilliant, but the hot food was served on a cold plate, so was cold quite quickly and the coffee machine broke down during service. All teething problems for a new in house team, so no major issues, hopefully it will improve with time.
