Cape Sounio Grecotel Boutique Resort

In September 2023, our daughter, Jessica, offered my wife and I a one-week vacation in Corfou Imperial Grecotel as her present for our 40th wedding anniversary. This week was for us a kind of dream, as we were warmly welcomed and treated as a prince and princess. Needless to say that it is a great memorable souvenir for us. That’s the reason why we decided to spend our October 2024 vacation in a Grecotel again, namely Cape Sounio Boutique Resort, at the Athens Riviera, some 67 km south of Greece Capital City. We could mention so many positive aspects about this resort, from the great quality of the restaurants to our splendid accommodation (surprisingly upgraded when we arrived). We were also friendly welcomed by a reception member (Nikos), who has taken time to give us many interesting details about the resort and to accompany us to our accommodation. We have to mention that we had chosen TUI Belgium for our stay (just like in September 2023). But the negative point was that TUI did not organize any excursion to Athens (not cost-effective enough for TUI, as they don’t have many other resorts in this south part of the Athens Riviera), which was a non-sense for us, as we had never visited this capital city. Fortunately, we were helped by the hotel reception, namely by Efstathia and Simona, to find a not too expensive solution, including entrance tickets to the Acropolis (avoiding the queues of tickets offices). Of course, we warmly thanked those two effective problem-solving women. We would like to underline that beyond the qualities of the resort (just a few kilometers in front of the Poseidon Temple, worth being visited as well… with the help of the same staff members), what makes a success of a vacation is first of all the highly devoted and friendly engagement of such helpful Greek members of this hotel, including restaurant waiters/waitresses, and all the other employees… After those two great experiences, we intend to reserve our 2025 vacations in a… Grecotel.

Beautiful resort with gorgeous view of the Temple of Poseidon. Breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The beach was well taken care of and both pool and beach restaurants were excellent. The amenities and spa were wonderful.

If you look for a good hotel outside Athens, this is the one. It's big, but it still feels nice and stylish. Good vibe. We booked a bungalow with private pool and it was fantastic. We had a nice garden to relax and a plunge pool to cool down. We were lucky to have sea/temple view and could enjoy the sun from early morning untill the end of the day. Our room was located at the corner and had a modern design. The room was spacious and clean. The food at the hotel is good. For breakfast and dinner we had the buffet option and the always served a wide variety of food. Each night a different selection. Our lunch we enjoyed at the beach or at the restaurant down at the beach overlooking the water. Although the food was good I was a bit disappointed with the price/quality ratio. The view from the main restaurant at night is fantastic. If there is a little breeze and its not too hot, eat outside. You will enjoy it. The beach itself is fantastic, the sea is calm and not too deep and at the beach are many sunbeds so no stress to find a spot. The food and drink service at the beach is good. They were fast and very friendly.

Hotel spotless, food delicious with incredible variety and very polite staff but what made the trip for me was the massage at the adjacent eliquer spa. I had an incredible massage from a very professional young therapist called Julianne. She was very attentive to my comfort I gave the best massage and most detailed facial I’ve ever had in my life. The massage room was very relaxing with water sounds, soft music and herbal scents. Julianne was a terrific masseuse seeming to intuitively know where to very pressure and what areas needed extra attention. For this spa alone I would highly recommend a trip here!

I’ve never been in a hotel where the employees are actually happy to be at work! They were ALL so helpful and accomodating. The property is just beautiful - everything and anything you might need is right there. The rooms are very spacious. We didn’t want to leave, but will be back!

Best views I’ve ever see, amazing food, immaculate drinks, fun company games and an amazing family friendly environment. The buffets are some of the greatest I’ve ever seen. I will be coming back as soon as I possibly can! Book here for your next trip to Greece!
