The hotel is sad. We chose this hotel because of Ibiza, but it is under renovation (we found out about this only upon arrival at the hotel). The beach is private, but small. And the terrible metal fence and ruins instead of Ibiza spoil the whole look of the beach. The hotel is boring, quiet, at least they could have turned on background music. But when we looked at the situation around, our hotel turned out to be not so bad.
It is strange that there is no information on Trip that there is no Ibiza, that the hotel is tired. But at the reception there is a Trip mark as the best hotel 2024.
Also, the hotel does not have a currency exchange, this is the first time we have seen this.
The breakfast was good, there was a sweet table during the day, you can always have a snack.

Very nice staff, nice hotel. Very accommodating to our requests. Too bad the beach club which they are famous for is under construction. The buffet doesn’t change menus at all so if you stay for more than 2 days gets too boring.

All good, especially the service.But the hot water in the bathroom.wss practically non existent. This was a major veto factor. Most times we had to either forfeit taking our shower or shower with cold water. Unless this is addressed we will not be coming back to this hotel.

What an underwhelming experience staying at Movenpick Mactan. I had two reasons for booking at Movenpick after reviewing their website. I am a member of the loyalty program that Movenpick is associated. It wasn't until after I booked that I found out that the ACCOR Live Limitless loyalty program did not apply to this particular Movenpick hotel.
My wife and I were celebrating our birthdays as well as wedding anniversary so when I saw the Ibiza facility on the website we were excited that this would be a celebration/vacation to remember. We soon found out after arrival that the Ibiza precinct had been damaged in a typhoon 3 YEARS AGO (2021) and had not reopened. I questioned an executive about the possible misleading information on the website and was told that it takes about 1 year to remove it from the website (really????) and another year to have it uploaded again so it was left there offering an experience that wasn't there.
The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff at all outlets were friendly helpful and very courteous.
The same cannot be said of the snacks (spring rolls) near the pool that were served overcooked. The club sandwiches were delicious.
Our anniversary dinner Crispy Pata and Pochero were bland and not up to what we would expect from a five star hotel kitchen.
It was an underwhelming experience.
If you want filipino food then walk to the entrance and diagonally opposite is the Morning Glory restaurant which we visited and enjoyed a delicious array of filipino cuisine.

It was raining so I didn't enjoy the great view. But the airport is very close to the hotel and the security measures are very good. Very suitable for family activities and enjoys a private beach. Breakfast is okay, but not as rich as expected. Sadly, the key card keeps getting degaussed, so the card has to be replaced every time, which affects the experience!
Room facilities are a bit outdated.

The pool and beach were very beautiful! I couldn't use them because my stay was short, but there were table tennis and billiards. There was also a hair dryer in the room!
