I stayed 2 nights in this hostel. It is really well located (many shops, night market, metro), but the first time it's not easy to find the right entrance in the building. Indeed, the entrance is little bit dodgy because it's dark and dirty. But once you arrive at the 8th floor, everything is perfect. I really recommend this hostel in Lanzhou. This comment has been written by a French traveller.
Je suis resté 2 nuit dans cette auberge. Elle est très bien placée (nombreux commerces, marché de nuit, métro), mais il n'est pas facile de trouver l'entrée la première fois. En effet, le hall d'entrée est sombre, sale et n'invite pas à venir. Mais une fois arrivé au 8ème étage, tout est vraiment parfait. Je recommande cette auberge à Lanzhou. The owner and his wife are great. She of the two has especially good English. They are both very engaging, warm, and friendly. The hostel open area is one of the most attractive I’ve seen in China, too.
Less good is not having curtains on the beds for privacy, the toilet doors at the end always being open to the main area, and it being too cold in the main area in October because windows are open.
I’m sure it’s definitely a great place in September, and before, when more people can be together enjoying the main area and the warmth of the hosts.
