Hotels Near KOMONOYA in Langkawi

Don't be fooled by the 4.5 rating, because I certainly was! The only thing this hotel offers is big rooms! And not much else! The location is a big disadvantage, because all the main attractions are far away. You would either have to get a taxi every time, or rent a car or scooter. Car is better because of the distances, but it's more expensive. We were very happy that the hotel offers scooter rentals. However, sometimes the scooters are all in use, so then you're stuck. We were only able to get a scooter from our second day at the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. Back to the rooms - they had white lighting, which is a bit tasteless and makes it a bit too casual. You can fix that with the bedside lamps, though. The rooms also have mini fridges, which is always a plus point. My main issue was the bathroom; the placement / height of the wash basin, with the tiny shelf directly on top of the faucet - barely giving any space in between - was VERY uncomfortable to use. There is a normal way in which things are meant to be positioned, but this was completely absurd. The toilet and shower were all *one* area, albeit big. No boundaries, no borders, no cut-off point separating the two. So when you shower, the whole bathroom floor gets wet - and stays that way. I wouldn't have minded, had they provided wipers. The toilet paper was not great quality, and its holder was worse - when trying to put the roll in, it broke in the first instance. The toilet seat was slightly flimsy. The shower pressure was good, but the water not as hot as desired - despite keeping the geyser on the whole time. There was no proper space to keep things like shampoo. Breakfast: They have the shortest breakfast timings I've seen at any hotel 😂, namely 8am-10am (two hours). It is served inside the room. They give us a choice from four local items (from which we have to choose *one* for each day), plus toast & butter/jam, plus tea or coffee. We have to make the tea/coffee ourselves with the kettle in our room. They already apply the butter/jam on the toast for you, which is good for lazy people like me. And it was quite tasty! The local items were okay; it varies from palate to palate, whether one would like them or not. I liked three out of four, though they were quite oily. All that said, it was THE most basic breakfast I've ever had at any hotel. It only works as a preventive measure from going crazy with hunger right when you get up in the morning 😂 Speaking of food - because of the location of the place, there are no restaurants you can get to by foot (as far as I know), and even GrabFood Delivery had very limited options (we survived on ordering McDonalds for lunch). One good thing was that, unlike other hotels, there was a water dispenser in the lobby, free to use whenever we wanted. Hence, we never ran out of water. Stayed here for 4d3n, the room so clean & spacious for children to play. Could've add more services like dine-in room services since the place was a bit far from any restaurant. But it is accessible for grabfood & foodpanda. So we just ordered.

I was here during LIMA 2023. Near to airport. Save time and transport cost by walking to exhibition hall. The best stay ever! The environment was pleasant and welcoming. Both check in and out were professionally handled and easy. I loved the Wings Afternoon Tea at the Wings Lounge& Jazz. It's really cosy and relaxing after spending hours in LIMA hall. I can even watch spectacular scene's of flights cruising through the viewing deck. And of course I enjoyed the most my drinks by the pool bar. I would definitely recommend this luxury resort in Langkawi to my family and friends in USA.

One of the best places to stay in Langkawi, definitely will stay again if we ever return. Room was Instagram worthy. The pool was warm, refreshing and regularly cleaned. Great location right on the Cenang beach strip. Right across from the aquarium and within short walking distance of the beach and many good local restaurants. However the hotels layout gives you a nice reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the main strip. Housekeeping was 10/10 — refreshments, beverages and toiletries were replenished daily. New towels are provided if you leave the old on the floor, and new linens are provided upon request.

I stay for two night with my family 4 adult , 1 child age 11 and next hotel is Westin in Kuah, I am beyond satisfied for choosing this hotel,very excellent service from everyone. I could remember their name from front desk staff, asrul, Dini. Cafe Restaurant, hazim ( this boy service really outstanding! :D , bellboy Mady with his warmth smile ,helping me carrying my luggage. And not to forget Mr Marinaren at lounge who have been very attentive and more others. All these people are the main reason i would come back here again for holiday. Thank you for making my holiday memorable. All the amenities make me doesn’t want to go out anymore,while food is delicious and view is spectacular . Couldn’t ask for more. ( Park Royal langkawi service way better than Westin )

If you lived in a black and white house in Singapore or any of the pre war heritage houses, you would love this resort. Located only 10 minutes drive from the airport and 30 mins from Kuah and the Cemang beach a 20 mins walk away. Shout out to Resort Manager Irene Vairo, she is a friendly and cat lover manager who is always around to help, as the houses are heritage, dont expect everything to work perfectly. The restaurant is also excellent with live bands every Monday.

Check in was smooth since we arrived quite late. We call in advance to inform our eta arrival later than expected due to flight delayed. We got bee building facing the sea. Everything inside the room is clean. Tv channel have astro. Malibest is well known for its location, in the middle busy street Chenang and its hospitality and well clean room! So far it meet my expectation. Just one thing, the hotel parking too limited. Overall, this place will be my favourite place to stay in langkawi sith affordable price.

RWL is always our preference when we travel to langkawi for Short Vacation. The location are perfect which not far from Airport and Pantai Cenang. The most we like is about the Sea View Room with balcony. We can spend our time for chatting and sunrise with in the morning. Is worth to stay with this property!

Front desk service is excellent, efficient, full of smiles, I couldn't ask for more. However the sea view I got was one that came with two rows of sandbags and iron bridge on a stretch of beach that's without lounge chairs and definitely not suitable for swimming. The chalet's design is pretty old evident from the window lock and balcony door lock. Set dinner at Spice Market was out of this world! Must try! There are two restaurants available for hotel breakfast every morning and you can visit both every day. Housekeeping was really slow, I hope they can increase staff efficiency in this department since they even forgot to include a hair dryer for me in the room and I had to call to ask for one. I hereby include a picture of their hairdryer, I'm surprised a 4 digits per night hotel offers such a tiny hairdryer. I wasn't expecting Dyson but this is just wow. anyway, allow me to repeat, front desk staff was fabulous!

This is the place for people who: Like a hotel that is a 20 min drive from the main street Like attentive staff that remember your name Take care of things when you bring it up. Like a good view of the beach but don't want to swim in it (because you can't) Enjoy a good buffet and dinner options Enjoy renting an e-bike to get places The room is solid and they were responsive with fixing the AC and moving me to a different room when the AC crapped out. The staff is incredibly responsible and communicates well with eachother. The only thing I would suggest is compensation for problems. They fixed problems but merely just that. A simple sorry and that's all. I would go into specifics but it's not necessary but if there's an issue I'd suggest giving something surprising and personalized keep the customer coming back. It's a lovely place with amazing beds and I enjoyed it a lot. Thanks to all the staff that remembered my name
